After having breakfast I decided to take a bus into Wollongong and drop off the booking form at the Day Surgery Hospital. I don’t mind a bus trip, it is only 20 minutes or so in air conditioned comfort and less walking than the train. Was very lucky, I had to wait a few minutes for the bus back too.
That was my morning done and dusted.
Might even go to the Xray place this arvo and get my chest Xray over with.
Must remember to put the bins out this arvo I have a full green bin ready to go too.
Good morning everyone
I’m back to work early today after being away for a few days.
The weather here in Thailand is warm and pleasant, though I’m feeling a little uncomfortable from some air pollution in the air. Still, it feels good to be back into the routine again.
Wishing you all a good and safe day.
@Bruce Good luck with the X-ray if you go this afternoon.
Take care and stay saf
Yesterday was gorgeous, a day without rain a day of sunshine it felt so good.
Now there’s yet another yellow warning for rain . Whoever wrote let smile be your umbrella on a rainy rainy day needs slapping I need a canoe.
It’s all very depressing.
Good morning!
Cloudy, grey and dull, but dry; though it’s fairly windy, it wouldn’t surprise me if we had rain by this evening
I feel better today than I have for weeks, since before Christmas, so I really do hope that my flu bug is finally clearing up … I still feel a bit weak though
I’ll take the car for a longish drive soon to get the engine hot and turned over, and return via a supermarket
Nothing much planned for this afternoon
Useless DVLA. I am still waiting to see if I am allowed to drive re eye test 5 months since renewal application - wating for transfer of Number plate. Does anyone actually work there ???
I would love to take charge and shake up the whole lot and sack most so called " managers"
Went to have a meal out for my DIL’s Birthday last evening
The meal and experience at a Thai resturant was amazing ,We were seated in a Tut Tut Car for our meal, the whole of the resturant was made up as if you was in Thailand street food market .
I went for something mild as each meal had hot pepper pics at side of it on the menu, I went for 1 pepper , so I had mixed Veg and for the protein I could choose from all the meats , I chose Beef ,with Rice
The sauce it was in was nice and tasty , we also had side which I had battered Shrimps , I love these after sampling them for the first time only recently.
It ended with The staff who were all Thai, coming to our table banging a drum and singing in Thai Happy Birthday with a slice of Cheese Cake with a Candle in .It was a night to remember.
Weather is back to rain and breezy here , it dont change much .
Didn’t sleep very well last night, I dream’t too much, Snored too much, and pee’d too much…
The cheese toasty at lunchtime was probably responsible for the excessive dreaming, and I woke up with a howling sore throat from the snoring. Mrs Fox was in the other room and could hear me ‘Driving them Home’…
And I drank too much water through the day so it meant frequent trips to the bathroom through the night…
It’s hardly got light this morning and there is a strong South Easterly gale blowing, I’m surprised it’s so dark and not raining. It’s forecast for the rest of the day.
It didn’t deter me from doing my walk/jog in my shorts, although I was struggling with the cold on the last mile. Not feeling myself, I could only manage some steady reps to keep warm, and even after a hot shower, I feel bodily cold and a bit fragile…
Mrs Fox is grafting away in the bedroom sorting out her extensive range of clothes, it sounds like a trip to the charity shop is imminent. I’m going for a power nap.
A rather damp start to the day here in southern Hampshire, looks like rain is coming later today, having just got back from my daily walk. Passed the waterway on my rounds with no sign of the swans, but the pair of Canadian Geese seem to have found their home. They are so tame they came right up to me looking for something to eat. One quick stop in a nearby shop for a bag of feed and they were happy.
Anyways, the inclement and unstable weather looks like its going to go on for quite some time. Tomorrow, I’m supposed to be on an outdoor photoshoot which may not happen, especially as my gear certainly isn’t waterproof and it’s going to pour down - according to forecasts. May leave final decision until tomorrow, in which case I’ll postpone it until April-May time.
Just dropped the wife off at the gym and need to do some odd jobs while I have the house to myself for a few hours. Beyond that, not really sure, probably catch up with some TV or watch a film.
What a wonderful thread … It’s great reading what you’re all up to. Amazing. As an adept sloth myself I have nothing to report. No achievements, No jobs done.
