It has been pretty good morning so far, started off a bit cloudy even though it was warm, I don’t think it got below about 14° last night, today is heading for the low/mid 20s which is fine for Spring.
Finished repairing my ladder feet, I don’t think they will last long but at least they won’t be so prone to sinking into the ground. This was the problem:
I tried to start a forum on here the other day for a fun (hopefully!) game I came up with but struggled to post it. Is setting up stuff in the games section different to setting up a regular thread? Sorry for the tech question!
Just come from my daily walk and just made it as it’s now pouring down.
Not sure what’s happening today, Mrs G off to the gym again, maybe get a coffee later. The only exciting thing would be me picking up my new flash trigger for my camera when it shows up. Apart from that, not a great deal to add.
Very dark, heavy rain forecast to continue until mid afternoon.
Sat in the lounge with the lights on and the volume up on the TV to drown out the noise of the rain.
Change of plan for today, we had a burst water main last night, they have just got it repaired but have to give it sometime to be flushed through before using it again.
Morning all – guess what, more rain last night and today, with the possibility of thunder storms and even hail!
I have been sleeping very badly the last few nights – I think I have had a total of 6 hours sleep over 3 nights so my energy levels and my mood is somewhat low.
My mood was not helped when I received a bill from the boiler engineer. Several weeks ago I had to call him as the boiler wasn’t working, he came in, pushed a button and was here less than 5 minutes. Received a bill a couple of days ago and his charge worked out at £11 PER MINUTE plus VAT! I know companies have call out charges but felt this was somewhat excessive. I have been exchanging emails with him and he has finally agreed to reduce the bill by £20
Hope to hear good news about Mrs. Fox
Plan for today is the usual meet up with the girls – that should help cheer me up
Thanks Dex and Swim, Mrs Fox seems a lot better this morning if not a bit stressed. We’ve got some blokes coming to set up a router etc for the new fibre optic cable they fitted last week.
Mrs Fox has been cleaning and vacuuming the house…I don’t think they are coming to give her marks out of ten for cleanliness…
Anyway, she gone off for her walk with a friend now so I’m on cat duty. Rosie’s asleep on the chair next to me after going for a run about outside. Mrs Fox is on tenterhooks while Rosie is outside, I think she expects her to run off or something.
A bit cool this morning on my walk 12 degrees C when I set off and almost time for gloves. Even though it was fine, it was still quite dark when I woke at 5:30 am and it was pitch dark at 8:30 last night…So that’s it for summer this year folks, and judging by the thunderstorm yesterday, and another one forecast for today…I have a feeling that following the long dry spell, hard rains are gonna fall…
