It was a rainy and overcast day. 
Wonderful sleeping weather. I wish I got more sleep than I did but still nice.
Laid back day. Didn’t finish my library videos before they expired but I’ll get them next time.
Plan for today is talking to someone on the phone and looking for some apps.

I’m still staying in waiting for my parcel delivery, which is annoying
Online purchasing is well established now, and you usually get an email with confirmation of order, estimated time of delivery, order tracking, and so on, but with this supplier, not a peep.
It has given me the chance to catch up with reading, emails & letter writing but if there’s no delivery today I’ll chase them up
Election day today but I won’t bother voting as my Ward has the usual crap choices - Lab, Lib Dem, Con, & Green

I won’t bother voting, it’s as you say. Same old same old.
I have appointments this morning and this afternoon, so a busy day. Sun is shining though, which is nice.
Butter, my library has a notice up saying DVDs for borrowing will soon be discontinued. I am wondering why? Never borrowed any myself, mind. Our libraries are free for book borrowing, with a small charge for DVDs and audio books. We can take out 12 books for three weeks, but can renew if they are not on reserve. I go online to do that, on my account, and can reserve titles too. I absolutely love the services our libraries offer and use them constantly. Use it or lose it, it is said. Couldn’t be without a book.

My guess is they’re not being used much. It’s getting harder to find a DVD player these days. Most everything is streaming including the library videos that I’m watching. It’s so much easier. The return is automatic online. I don’t have to worry about ever paying fees. Unlike books, which some people like to physically hold and turn the pages, videos don’t have much benefit having the actual disk. The movie experience is the same. It’s probably easier for the library to get rid of the DVDs.

Our house is in a bit of a mess at the moment, or I should say the lounge and conservatory are. Sue decided we needed new carpets so the other day we went out and bought. Now she is rushing around with a paint brush, so I am keeping well clear so I don’t get painted as well. On top of all this she also decided we needed new door handles (11 sets) in polished silver. Just try and find matching ones as in bathroom/living room the right size length and width wise that is. what a nightmare what with victorian shape/straight.curved /square levers all different lengths as well. It took ages to find ones that look like a set.
On internal door handles apart from the brass wearing off on what is here, it seems as if it was a pick and choose before as nearly every one here is different, so about time we had a bit of uniformity in the handles.
Today is voting day in local elections and guess what? none of the major parties even bothered to send a leaftlet on their candidates only two independants did . Why bother to vote for a party if they can’t be bothered to inform residents who is standing.
just been and voted none of the major party representatives there either. Spoke to one of the ladies on duty and she said they have had so many saying the same thing I think the independants will win
