Good morning Barry and all who follow. It’s a bit dull here, with rain forecast, but it’s dry at the moment.
My sewing mojo has been a bit absent for the last couple of days, so I got as far as cutting out some trousers, but couldn’t be bothered actually sewing them up. I really must do that today!!
Raining at the moment, and already damp from night-time rain. Hoping it dries off later so I can get out and about, but for now I’m just pottering around and reading.
Another year older today, how the years fly by! We are going to the Garden Centre later with our daughter and granddaughter so have done a self covid test which showed negative as daughter has a low immune system.
Expecting a Sainsbury’s delivery later this afternoon.
I’ve just filled in an E-consult form so am now waiting for a doctors phone call. I’m hoping for a bit of help with the trapped nerve in my back.
Tony & I are going to potter about for much of today & then at 3.00pm meeting our autistic grandson Josh from school. To tire him out a bit we’ll go a walk through the woods and a trip to Aldi. After that I’m hoping he’ll play with his toys at my house & be happy to stay for his tea. I’ve got Pizza & chocolate ice cream for him - his favourites. We’ll take him home about 7.00pm but of course if he’s unhappy we’ll take him home sooner…
Just another wet, miserable day. The East Coast Low moved further north so the forecast deluge was reduced in intensity though that didn’t stop nearby Robertson getting 200mm of rain in 24 hours. Supposed to be a tiny bit warmer tomorrow but the wet weather will continue.
I have been trying to start a Birthday thread for our Mags, but had to give up with frustration at the stooopid system. So sorry Mags, but my birthday wishes will have to be in this thread today.
A belated good morning everyone what a day, grey drizzle again.
I did some baking this morning and was going to take a JL parcel to Waitrose but couldn’t make the effort to go out . Covid has made me even more reclusive.
I have just been out with Chloe and got soaked, the tractor has been up and down the lane taking swedes to the sheep and gouged out deep ruts in the mud making walking down there very hazardous. I don’t know why the farmer doesn’t use the gate on the other lane which has a hard surface.
@Mags Happy Birthday Mags I hope you managed to have an enjoyable day.
Late again…
But it has been a busy day with one or another things. We strolled the dogs as usual but we are now taking Ozzie off the lead and he seems fine with that. He can now wander around at his own pace. He used to take a bee line home but we still need to be vigilant.
Then we were off to the vet - yet again. More shots for Max. Possible a kidney problem but in the early stages and medication should be effective.
A few other chores and another stroll. Such a terrible life…
