It is a wet but warmer day to say good morning from, supposed to get up into the low 20s today, still cardigan weather but at least my feet aren’t freezing.
The Annual Conference is all done and dusted for another year, I miss the piss up but it was much nicer attending from home. via Zoom. I slightly rearranged my furniture so I could connect my laptop to the TV which enabled the sound to come through the hifi. I was able to watch it on the big screen when my participation wasn’t necessary (which was most of the time).
Over 26mm of rain during the night which at least wetted the ground, not a deluge but steady showers, the rain was definitely needed.
Nothing planned for today - it is bin day tomorrow morning but I have embarrassingly little garbage to put out even with my tiny bin. If the weather clears up a bit might go for a walk later.
Bit of a panic here, as I need to get Mrs G down to the local electrical store to pick out a replacement washing machine, as she managed to kill the last one. But I need to rush back as she has an appointment at the gym for her class, which she doesn’t want to miss. I may not even be time for my morning coffee!
Morning all – a grey start to the day but at least it isn’t raining (yet!)
Glad you have your priorities right Graham - although a lack of coffee could be dangerous (for others!)
Gardener showed up yesterday, replanted the bulbs which had been dug up and fixed some wire mesh across the top of the planter so hopefully that will keep whatever animal is digging them up away.
I do wonder at the intelligence of BBC journalists! Local radio was interviewing someone who has relatives in Jamaica and they were having trouble contacting them, so what question did the reporter ask? “How worried are you” I mean, really? She had no idea whether her relatives were alive and they ask such a stupid question (sorry rant over!)
Neighbours returned late last night so no more cat duty. I know they are home because when I opened my bathroom window after taking a shower I could smell the smoke from their log burner!
Yesterday’s talk at the church hall was very interesting – all about the history of a local park
Today’s plans are the weekly get together for coffee, cake and gossip and then a grocery shop. I need ingredients for a batch cook to refill the freezer.
