Good morning all, up early (6 o’clock!) today, as I have to collect my granddaughter and take her to school. Still dark, so I don’t know what the weather’s doing, but it sounds wet!

I’m Christmas shopping with daughter Karen today. We’re going to an out of town complex where there’s a massive ‘Next’ Karen loves their clothes so I’m sure we’ll get something for her. It’s next door to Ikea so it’s a must I go in there. I love Ikea!!
Tony is going out with Ady so I don’t have to worry about leaving him.
Best of all - no cooking. I did a chicken dinner last night with enough to warm up today.
When I get back I may try my new steam cleaner on my rug & spots on my carpet.

I removed the heart monitor this morning and once the rush hour traffic has eased off around 09:30 I’ll be taking it back to cardiology. Removing that intrusive device was a fantastic feeling as was my long overdue shower. Although it can be removed for showering etc, the colour coded leads are impossible to replace correctly due to the non colour coded body electrode tags …really joined up thinking lol

Out early to the Cashpoint for some money, then into Morrisons, loads of reductions in the reduced section.
Smoked skinless, boneless 1.4 kilo gammon joints reduced from £7 to £2.80, suitable for freezing.
Back home, visit from PTSD Nurse for over an hour, lots sorted with the GPs and NHS, she is here again Christmas Eve.
All in all a good start to the day.

Cold again this morning, bright sunshine streaming in the windows. Maximum temperature 5ºC going down to 0ºC this evening and overnight.
Various tasks to do today. Maybe they will get done and maybe they will not, that’s just how things are
at the present time.

Took Holly out for her usual midday stroll (and I wanted some chips, but he was closed! Argh!!), and it started raining on us, so I cut the walk short. Of course that means everything hanging up to dry again.
Found a new pack of micro chips so they will have to do.

A belated good morning everyone 
I have been rushing around trying to get as much as I can done to leave some time this afternoon to chat on FT with my grandaughter (11) who is isolating in her bedroom .She has a small Christmas tree in her room which she has decorated and will show to me.
In spite of the cold air I managed to get some washing dry.
Tomorrow is Waitrose day and when they have delivered I want to do a batch of pickled cabbage for the children so hope to get the jars sterilised later today.

What a weird day from a weather point of view. When I put the wheelie bin out - 04:30am - it was beautiful - cloudless sky, no frost, just lots of stars. 06:00am when I went out for a walk - it was snowing. By 7:45am when I went out to raid the freezer in the garage, it had stopped snowing but had frozen hard and was very slippery. At 10:00am it was a lovely cold, but sunny, day - not a snowflake in sight! Now it is freezing again - I cannot keep up with it - the weather goblins are running riot.
Excellent excuse to drape myself on the sofa with a cat and a stack of DVDs!
After having a load of weight lifted yesterday by the window fitters arriving, today one of the barstewards phoned in sick meaning no work today. Such a lovely, if cold, day too. They could have really motored along with the remaining windows and kitchen door to save coming back tomorrow. AAaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
