Good Morning Thursday, 2nd April 2026

Good morning all you jolly forum persons, again it is another lovely autumn day here.

Walk as always early this morning (well, I try to make it “always”), I actually set out before the sun had risen (bloody daylight savings and all that, whinge, whinge) but it was really nice, Goldilocks weather, not too hot, not too cold.

My daughter left while I was out to drive to Sydney for her tattooist, my son in law is still here, he is catching the Sydney train later because they are both attending a birthday party on the Central Coast this evening (between Sydney and Newcastle) hence my dog minding duties tonight.

Oh yes, she has also said she will drive me to Sydney airport when I set off for my UK visit in July, that will save me having to catch the 5 am train :grinning:

Spent the rest of the morning finishing off my little shortcut path, it is OK, not brilliant but OK, will have to wait for rain to see if it remains above the water level. It’s all go, I have even put the bin out for collection in the morning already.

While I was in the shed I noticed quite a big skink on my broom

I can’t say it was sunbathing because it was inside but I presume it was warming up for a day of bug hunting.

Well, that is probably all the excitement this Thursday has to offer for me :frowning_with_open_mouth:

Have a good one.

Take care (especially if you are a Messiah)…

Morning all – bright sunshine this morning, although still a bit chilly

Had lunch with 3 of my sisters-in-law yesterday. The food was OK but the company was brilliant. When I arrived home my neighbour brought in the weekly supply of cakes!

Local council delivered yet another sack for recycling yesterday, that is 2 boxes, plastic bags for soft plastics, the new sack, the food waste container, all for recycling and the general waste bin. I am all in favour of recycling but all these containers are starting to fill my garage! The new sack also has some other bags inside, however, I don’t know what they are for as they seem to be buried under the fabric at the bottom and I can’t get them out!!

Today’s plan is the usual meet up with the “girls” for coffee, cake and gossip. When I get back I will then spend time trying to work out how to get those bags out of the sack!

Take care – have a lovely day

Good morning all…

Despite the rain we had last night, it’s bright and sunny down here in southern Hampshire, although it may overcast later, possibly with rain.

Not too much going on today, drop the wife off to the gym later. Maybe shopping after. That’s about it for the day apart from mucking about on my PC for a bit.

Have a great day…

:+1: :grinning:
