Our Beach, Corton.

Good morning all, dull then sunshine.
Have been for a blood test this morning, then walked along the beach (see photo), not a very nice beach a bit dirty looking.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all!

Got some tasks done so far.

I dusted and cleaned my fountain pens and fountain pen inks. I’ve been comparing the nibs of the pens that I have. I’ve been watching some youtube videos about how some nibs are interchangeable. Found out that my pens have some interchangeable nibs. Been playing with that for a bit.

It’s slightly cooler tonight. Hoping that’s a trend.

Have a special day everyone.

Good Morning!

It’s a bit dull & cool at the moment, though not too bad
I’ just about to set off & do some errands -

The usual shopping at Sainsbury
Some new paintbrushes for my model planes at The Range
To a mill shop & haberdashers to get a couple of new zips for some old fleece jackets

Hopefully I’ll get all that done by dinnertime

Hi

Supposed to be taking things very gently.

Got a text that Lidls had just put out all odd bottles of wine in a bin at £3.99 a bottle
,
Minimum cost normally £6.99 a bottle, some much more expensive.

I emptied what was left, 18 bottles.

I am happy but absolutely exhausted.

@swimfeeders , No wonder your feeling a bit orf swimmy ??
Just emptied 18 bottles of wine !!:roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Hi

Absolutely Brilliant Donkeyman, made me laugh.

Just happy to make you happy swimmy !?

Good morning all :grinning: overcast but dry here.

Expecting a Sainsburys delivery shortly, it appears a few items are not available today but I can manage without them this week,

Hope to get out in the garden later,

Enjoy your day folks…… :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello there!

It has been a busy morning. Up at the usual time and cracked on with some work. Managed to get in 4k steps before 9am. Cleared out old books, papers and old items that have accumulated over the last year and filled five large bin bags. Our home feels lighter already.

Will be heading to Royston Heath this afternoon with a little shopping on the way back.

Glad for the change in weather as I’m now able to wear a light jumper.

Have a great one!

Good morning all.
I am not doing anything much today, because my little doggie is still very poorly and I am trying her with food and/or liquid around every hour. Really worried about her.

Hope you all have a better day thank we’re having here. :slightly_smiling_face:

Morning all.

So sorry to hear this, Mups. Hope she perks up soon.

Thinking of you and Gertie Mups, I hope she improves soon.

It must be so worrying for you. xx

Mups, I do hope Gertie gets better, thinking of you both with love. Susie xx

Poor Gertie…:frowning: I hope gets better soon. As it happens Max was sick yesterday evening - he was eating grass which is not a good sign but he got over it.

This morning we had a short stroll then we had the barber/hairdresser/tonsorial locks attended to. We have a friend who also gets her hers when she comes here with her little dog. Anyway I was first and then I took a long walk with Max. I get out of the house while the women chatter away!

Mups I hope its not to long before your wee doggie is feeling better.

I’ve been busy doing nothing today .

This is my poorly girl, taken some time ago though.

Gertie smaller

Thank you so much Jazzi, Mags, Susie, Ripple and Besoeker, you’re all very kind.

It turns out she has Campylobactor. I don’t know how this has happened, but been doing a lot of reading up on it.
Thank God I took a sample in and asked the vets to test it, because they had been treating her for tummy ulcers and acidity! She is only tiny, and has lost 3lbs in 6 days!

But at least I have a firm diagnosis now, and is finally getting the right treatment. I also now know to be extra vigilant with hygiene as its a zoonotic illness. I am offering miniscule amounts of food every couple of hours, and she drank some warm honey water tonight.
She is on specific antibiotics, live yogurt, plus Pro-biotics to help her heal inside…

I have washed all their bedding, disinfected their beds, washed floors, washed all their soft toys, and even scrubbed their hard chews, antlers, and bones. I also bathed her today and gave her a good wash and trimmed her claws. I also follow her outside and disinfect when she goes loo. Can’t think of much else I can do to get her better, and keep us all safe.

They can get this from under cooked poultry, drinking from puddles, sniffing/eating other animals poo that have this horrid bacteria, and even drinking some unpasteurised milk apparently, but it seems it is most likely from undercooked poultry or people who feed their dogs raw diets.

Some dogs can have it and be carriers and not show symptoms themselves too.
I have never seen her eating poo, but I have seen her drinking out of a small bird bath in the garden, which the Pigeons sometimes poo in, even though I change that water daily.
I don’t suppose I shall ever know for sure where this came from, but I shall have her retested when her medication has finished.

Thank you once again for showing you care.
