I had a busy few days looking after my youngest grandson Stanley…he is no trouble but blimey he is full on…its great being a grandparent you can give them back.
I was hoping for a nice garden day today but it’s pouring down here…oh well it might clear up …fingers crossed.
We have just had rain so doubt I’ll get to the allotment today. Off to see the nurse mid morning to discuss my blood test result (I have low potassium and iron, handy checking stufff on the app), then afterwards I have free time.
Butter, my NfH had their friends in for an indoors get together. With their front window open I could hear their noise. I went to bed about 9.15, just after, and a little later, with their front door opening and closing, suddenly heard an almighty crash! The bloke had obviously dropped or tipped something (I have no idea what) and I had to lie in bed listening to him clear up. Then when the friends (who live a few doors down) went home I had to listen to the loud farewells from them all.
I have been forewarned by my friend (who lives next door to their friend) that the women are away this weekend on a hen party. Apparently, and this is the good news, the bloke is baby sitting all the kids at his house round the corner, not next door! Yay!!! I look forward to a peaceful few days. Friend thinks the 13yo would either stay home or stay with her friend, but either way…gosh…I hope the weather is nice so I can sit in my garden, enjoy the sunshine my way!!! Pray for me, folks.
Morning all, rained all night and early this morning, I do believe the sun is just poking through.
Off into Town this morning, need to get a few bits.
Janet I will pray for you
Going into town early, as soon as my bus pass becomes valid, for a few errands, including making a dentist’s appointment and shopping at the community shop
This afternoon I’ll be getting bits & pieces together to take to the community workshop in Todmorden, where I’ll also ask their advice on starting one where I live, in Burnley
Good Morning/afternoon from Foxy’s place…
A bit late this morning, I don’t honestly know where the time goes these days…
It rained most of the night - well that bit I saw of it while visiting the loo…
I thought I might have to abandon this mornings bike ride, but by the time I woke up at 6’ish, the rain had stopped and there were blue bits in the sky…
A good ride out to Sykehouse, but a bit on the slow side. About one minute slower than Sunday…
I’m being tempted by a sudoku next to the laptop, so with not enough ‘get up and go’ to do anything else, I’ll give it a go… @Eliza if that picture is Derbyshire, I’m sure I’ve been there…
yes @OldGreyFox it was taken yesterday ,we parked at Barber Booth walked along the narrow lane that leads to Upper Booth camp site (stayed there 20+year ago)
and just passed there we turned off to walk up to Crowden Clough . The stream runs upto Crowden Tower , did that many years ago , and there you have Kinder Scout .
Hubbys ashes and my last dog are along there , it was his birthday yesterday , so we went to wish him a happy Birthday .
