Battery was what killed my SLR ,it took a mercury cell and they just stopped making them for environmental reasons. I have read that there is a way round this but it is far too late now,

I learnt to swim and dive in an outdoor pool Carly.
I used to go every Saturday morning, and again through the week with the school during the PE session.
One particular session I was swimming lengths with another lad, the PE teacher said if you can swim a mile I will get you both a certificate. All the other pupils went back to school but the PE teacher told us to carry on and watched us until we completed the mile…I never did get my certificate…
I learnt to dive trying to impress a few girls observing from the side.
I took a long run up and dived into the shallow end, I hadn’t learnt to do a shallow dive yet and struck my head on the bottom…It hurt so much and I staggered out, put on a brave smile, and made for the changing rooms…After that I learned to dive properly and was going off the top board like Swallow…
