Good Morning Thursday, 24th April 2025

Good morning all, another wet day.

Seniors’ meeting this morning, minutes complete - all is well with the world.

On the way home I went past one of the early polling places, there was quite a queue.

There never used to be a queue to vote early and it has changed the nature of campaigning, parties can’t save up last minute surprises

My only complaint - no democracy sausage if you vote early. Mind you I think charities will wake up to that eventually…

It is bin day so I have to make sure all my garbage goes out, recycling today too.

I am expecting the arrival of a dog soon to look after for a couple of days, my grandkids are off to Sydney to see their Dad march in the ANZAC parade tomorrow. I am quite looking forward to it (the dog that is)

Have a good Thursday.

Take care…

Good morning all!

An overcast nondescript kind of day today. I was thinking of venturing into town but I I’ll leave that until tomorrow, the weather forecast is looking a little more cheerful :sun_with_face:

I had to look up democracy sausage Bruce. I can’t see it catching on over here alas!
Democracy saveloy world be nice, preferably with chips :+1:
Dream on!

Have sausagey day people :hotdog:

I think savs are more of a fun fair/Agricultural show thing, tens of thousands of battered savs would have been consumed at the Royal Easter Show last weekend.

Good morning - An overcast but slightly warmer day today. Good enough for riding my bike to the pub for the usual Thursday pint (just the one) and bag of crisps. Flowers are coming out in the garden now. Today it’s the Clematis flowers…

Morning all – dull and overcast this morning, although we are being promised sunshine by the weekend.

Not sure that a “democracy sausage” would tempt me to the polling station Bruce, now a free packet of crisps might do the trick! I actually use a postal vote, and yes, I vote in every election. We are having an election for a Regional Mayor at the moment, an office which I think is unnecessary and expensive but I will still vote.

Felt unwell yesterday so spent the afternoon in bed which meant I missed my weekly delivery of home made cake! Neighbour rang to check on me when I didn’t answer the door! She really is a lovely lady and I feel very lucky to have such caring neighbours! I intend to call in later today in order to return a dish when, hopefully, I will come away with cake!

It is the usual Thursday meet up with the girls today, apart from that not much else planned

Take care – hope everyone has a lovely day

Morning all. Not sure what’s happening today, still waking up and on my first coffee. I have to take “My Good Lady” to an appointment later on and maybe go for a drive. Need to get to a local woodland to get some bluebell photos before they all disappear, but the light isn’t really great at the moment.

Good Morning…
Being as St George isn’t English it looks like we are not allowed a day of celebration…We still have ‘Yorkshire Day’ on August 1st…So I’ll wait until then to let my hair down…
Cloud and sun this morning and around 10 degrees C when I left the house at 7:00am
A decent enough walk with a few fast’ish stretchers, and time to pose in this mirror…

Being as it’s remained dry for a week or two I think I’ll take advantage and clean out the gutters…

You mean this taste of deliciousness wouldn’t tempt you to perform your civic duty?

They’re usually a charity or in the case of a school booth the school makes a bit of money.

Surely you knew that OGF? I mean, how many dragons are their in England?

Never mind the St George Illawarra Dragons are playing this weekend, celebrate with them.

Maybe St George was a Yorkshire bloke who went over to Turkey to fight Dragons Bruce…
