It is a very good morning from me, another lovely spring day in winter.
I had my Seniors’ meeting this morning and the minutes are written up so that is out of the way.
My middle son is calling in soon to help me change the aux battery in my car. He is on his way back to Canberra from three weeks at HMAS Albatross in Nowra on some course, I say “help me” but as I can’t even lift the new battery it will be mostly his work.
Some time later…
He arrived in the middle of me typing this so the job is now done, the old battery removed and the new one is connected up ready for the next trip.
I tried to help him adjust the clutch in his Barina but to show how out of touch I am, I have never had a car with an hydraulic clutch so my sole recommendation was to go see his brother in law who would know exactly what to do. Frankly crawling under a car is beyond me now.
That’s most of my day sorted, how about you? What are you up to?
Feeling a bit better today the sneezing has more or less stopped but still not over trhe cold yet. Brain says do something and body says NO way too exhausting
well back to an overcast day but still very warm rain later naybe
Indoor day today… I think I might bake a cake. I have a recipe for a caramel cake which I’d like to try. Then I need to source some vegan recipes for a bank holiday weekend barbecue. I know I can just go down the Plant Based section in the supermarket, but I want to show I’ve put a lot of thought in.
Good morning everyone. Another warmish day although it’s extremely blustery.
Atter the dog walk I visited the market in one of the local towns. There were hardly any stalls today, maybe the stallholders are on holiday! I managed to get what I wanted though and then paid a visit to one of the charity shops where I found a pretty blouse. So a productive day so far.
Later, I intend to finish what I started in the garden yesterday. I have to do little and often these days, one of the joys of getting old I suppose.
Hello - (a bit late for good morning). Woken by the early morning bustle of a hospital ward and wondering how long I’ll be there. Good food in this hospital though and breakfast was plentiful and tasty. A consolation for the tubes holding me to the bed. Dire diagnoses hang over me but I’m still feeling and looking healthy. Maybe they are having me on. I suppose they will be right in the end.
