And a very good morning from me too
It has turned very windy here and at around 5:30 on my way down from the house into my music workshop, I was almost blown over my a very cold gust. Winter is bypassing autumn and it feels as though it’s here already.
Stormy In Scarborough & warnings of overlapping on the high tide. Big swell and wind turns offshore for Friday’s dawn which would be the siren call for all you big wave surfers. Water’s warm.
Good Morning everyone! Dry and windy here this morning. No plans really as yet…insomnia struck last night, so it’ll be a quiet day, with a doze at some point (!). Have a lovely day everybody
Still raining here. Holly thought she wanted to go out in the night, stuck her nose out the back door and turned tail, going back to bed! We haven’t been out yet this morning (we have that joy to come).
I will be making a chicken casserole in the slow cooker and like Swimmy, will add what veg is in the fridge (in my case, leek and carrot), and will add some frozen sweet corn.
Other than that, staying in out of the rain, and allowing clothes and shoes to dry after our walk (if it hasn’t stopped). And reading.
Huge storm with thunder and lightning here yesterday, a lot of the roads were flooded and the drain covers lifted up. Still, its a bit brighter today, not much though but it is Thursday and that means … fish & chips for lunch ! Now there’s something to look forward to
I need to change my guitar strings tonight too as I have a gig tomorrow at Oktoberfest at Sudbury Rugby Club. We will be putting on the big lasers as its a nice big hall we are playing in so it should look great. I love new venues.
I continue to feel 50% better from my trapped nerve. I’d been told they take 4-6 weeks to settle down & mine’s been just about 6 weeks. Who knows - it might go completely in a couple of weeks - I live in hope!!
I’ve been a bit of a hermit while I’ve been in this pain but today I’m meeting some friends from one of my face-book groups in Derby for a museum visit followed by lunch.
Ady is taking Tony out for the day so it will be a nice change for us both…
We have done our first walk, and of course it started raining on our way back (I shortened the time we were out), and of course H wanted to do another toilet close to home, so the poo bag, in the front garden, will have to wait till another walk, for the bin. And while I’m seeing to this the rain was getting that bit heavier. Argh! Has now stopped, methinks. Might be clear enough for my trip into town. Meds are ready for collection, so that and the library.
