Good morning all, a little early here after another very warm night with little sleep, and to cap it off next door’s car alarm has just gone off which has probably woken most of the street!
No idea what it’s doing outside yet but a cooler day forecast which will be a relief after the uncomfortable heat of the last few days.
Just a visit to my Mum’s this morning to check she’s ok and do a couple of odd jobs, then I’m going over to daughter’s new house to check the drains, such excitement…
Took two of my kids to Wollongong Hospital to see their mother who has RSV, after I drove off received a call saying only one person can visit per session so I will take my son for the arvo/evening session.
For some reason Stan, one of my streaming services has chucked me off, hope it is just a temporary glitch.
It’s a bit cooler today, which is good as I am going to Manchester on the bus to collect my watch repair and general shopping
Then leave by the afternoon, before the rush hour
Cooler and cloudy here - but still sticky at the moment - just put the recycling out and the air was thick - like trying to breathe through soup! Rain has been mentioned.
No definitel plans - but have been summoned to my GP surgery for a late afternoon appointment - message left on voicemail yesterday - not sure what it is about but it sounded a lot like being summoned to the Head’s office when I was at school !
Will check the excellent ‘lightning map’ that Mups gave us a couple of years ago - if there is any within a five mile circle I am not leaving the house!
ST, hope you’re OK. Being summoned by a doctor doesn’t sound fun.
It was noticeably cooler last night. Still hot day yesterday though.
Went to the masterclass. Great topic (the art of doing nothing) but the class had some parts I didn’t agree with. Later in the day, saw a post talking about how some things just don’t resonate with everyone. Felt better about it.
Good Morning everyone from Foxy’s world…
A lot cooler this morning, into the high teens, and drizzle. Not enough to do any good, but enough to stop me going out on my bike so I’ll do a walk instead and bike tomorrow.
It’s the last day in the Pyrenees for the Tour-de-France and probably the last day for any competitive riding so I’ll watch the action this afternoon.
Waiting in this morning for a Garage man, we need a new Garage door, our is knackered, then probably about 1 or 2pm go into Town and have Fish and Chips and need to buy a few things.
Had a visit from our IT chappie this morning to sort out our new printer and the dodgy WiFi connection between our router and the Freeview box. Everything he did to the printer and router connections to get them talking to one another and our PCs I did but couldn’t get the damned things to work together. As for the Freeview and router problem, he’s recommended I buy a Powerline WiFi extender or an ethernet cable to connect the 2 boxes together. That’ll be £60 thanks. Not bad for 30mins work.
had a reminder today about my camera insurance. i still had the old Sony camcorder on it as well as over valued other equipment so just renewed and updated, just got to wait for new policy now.
The graden again the grass covered with oak leafs etc so while dry got out the blower and cleared them all up.
thats about it so far
get an elecric roller door with remote its brilliant, we had both ours converted. now no need to get out of the car in bad weather just open the garage door with the key fob and drive in
Couldn’t agree with you more. Ours is fantastic. The only thing I wished I’d gone for is a one-press closure rather than having to keep my thumb on the button while the door is closing. I suppose I could upgrade it sometime in the future.
