Good Morning Thursday, 20th February 2025

Good morning all. A bit late, it is afternoon already.

Drove to Adaminaby this morning, its about 90km away on the banks of Lake Eucombene, yet another artificial lake created for the Snowy Hydro scheme. The old town was flooded by the lake so every house was moved to the town’s current location, there is undoubtedly a video of the move on YouTube if you are interested. Ironically there is a now a town called Old Adaminaby on the lake nearer the original site but well above water level. I went there to see if any of the original town was visible as the lake level is very low (no luck).

You’ll never guess what people visit the town for! Unfortunately I am not a boating fishing person.

A grey, cloudy morning has turned into a lovely sunny day; that seems to be the way of things in the mountains.

Hope your day turns out to be as pleasant

Take care

Good morning all

Had a. enjoyable evening last night, at this Restaurant it was a meal by plates and we each had to have 2 or 3 plates each .
I had the Trout ,and Roasted Beetroot +Rhubarb and pavlova…The place was buzzing and it was a very relaxed atmosphere.
The Owner was in the room moving about talking to customers as they came in , seems to be a popular Restaurant .

We plan on doing more Restaurant visits,Italian or Caribbean maybe next …

Good morning!
Dull & raining

I have a few errands to do today, all at local shops - buy stamps, get a phone top up, buy some fruit & veg
Later I have a couple of hobby type jobs to do - fit handles to a saddler’s awl and a file - as if I don’t have enough of either
I’m carving wooden ones instead of buying plastic

And that’s about it.

Good Morning everyone… :hospital:
Was rushed into hospital early on Sunday morning with heart failure.
I’m home now and doing alright. They have shuffled my medication around and making me an appointment with the cardiologist. Sorry for not posting sooner but things have been a little hectic just lately. Catch yer all later…

We were worried! My first wife had heart failure but lived for another 45 years so you have along way to go yet.

Just remember Gough Whitlam’s wise words, “I get enough exercise attending the funerals of those that did exercise.” He lived to 99

Morning all – the forecast was for a warm day with sunshine, it has been raining all morning! Although to be fair it is warmer than it has been

Welcome back OGF – we were concerned about you. Don’t be a typical man instead listen to the medics and Mrs Fox

That food looks good Eliza – nice to spoil yourself occasionally!

My lovely neighbour called in with cake yesterday – at this rate they will soon have to wheel me around on castors!

Today is the weekly get together with the girls for coffee, (more) cake and gossip. Later I have someone calling to measure for 2 new windows

Take care – have a lovely day

Hi Bob

Great to see you back on here, you were missed.

Heart Failure is a proper nuisance and can be very annoying and worrying.

It is progressive, but also irregular.

There are things you can still do, some new adventures to have.

Concentrate on them, don’t dwell on things you can’t do.

We all have to slow down as we age, life changes, heart failure or no heart failure.

I can’t fly anymore, can’t go off grid in the jungles of Thailand or shark fishing.

I can’t drive or go outside without being on wheels and with a Carer.

My blood pressure is so low I am told not to walk more than 5 steps.

Some I no longer do, don’t fly or drive.

The others?

Well Rules are made to be broken.

Enjoy every minute Bob, you deserve it.
