Good morning everyone, I hope you had an enjoyable New Years Eve.
I did stay up to watch the midnight fireworks, as usual they were suitably spectacular.
Didn’t go for my walk this morning, in fact have done bugger all except put the bins out for tomorrows collection.
The weather is dull and overcast though not particularly cold, probably in the mid 20s.
Might go for a walk later.
Yesterday I applied red reflective tape to my drone, it is supposed to deter bird attacks according to YouTube, whether it will or not remains to be seen. So far it has only been buzzed by birds in Canberra but magpies and crows are much bigger than the drone so I thought it worth a try.
Enjoy the start of the new year, it is very quiet here being a public holiday, I suppose it is the same where you are? Though I think the mall opens later.

I thought London edged it this year, but that could have been me just wanting to beat Trump.
It has been 11 years since I took early retirement, seems ages, but still used to sitting in Bronze Control on the night after ages of planning and hoping nothing went wrong.
It was a standing joke that Bronze Control were paid to be the Official Scapegoats for the Political Stupidity of the night.
We knew those likely to be planning significant attacks, but we had to be inclusive.
I will never understand Politics.
Life would have been so much easier and cheaper, if for example, locally less than the numbers of fingers on your hands had been locked up for a few days.
We do however have a duty to protect their human rights to attack innocents.
It is a strange world we live in when the rights of Terrorists are more important than the rights of those who just want to go out and enjoy themselves with their kids.

No walking/jogging today after doing more than enough exercise last nigh when Mrs Fox and me danced away 2025 and drank enough to float the Titanic…

A roast duck for dinner with the trimmings. I’ll get Chilli jnr involved since he’s passed City and Guild in catering before moving on to art and design.
I went to a concert last night ,a bit like the Last Night at the Proms , singing was encouraged and the orchestra were letting Party Poppers off.All good fun ,
We had a Pub Christmas Eve Dinner , and we also had a Christmas Concert ,which was very Jolly.
Christmas Day was at my Son and Daughter in law house for the best Dinner cooked by him …And Pudding by my DIL…
It was probably the best Christmas and New Year I could have .
NY is always a lesser event in our household. We watch the fireworks on the telly, have a drink, and then off to bed less than a half hour after its all over with, as we don’t do the big party celebrations. It’s just not for us. We did however, have a pub meal beforehand, which was more than enough to be going with.
