Good morning all, it was a dry warmish morning when I went for my walk, a few clouds around but remained dry after 11mm of rain yesterday. Rain is forecast for later, in fact today is supposed to be the wettest of the week though no sign of that yet.
I have a little job to do on my camper. So many appliances these days are using USB C plugs so I decided I need a USB C charger outlet in my camper, at the moment there are four USB A type outlets (the top two are ordinary car sockets).
Today, I’ll probably take care of some housework, then go renew my car tax and insurance. After that, I might go shopping for some clothes suitable for the summer, grab an iced coffee, and come back home to work on self-improvement, maybe listen to something insightful on YouTube.
That’s about it for my day. How about you, my friends? What are you up to today? Wishing everyone a happy, fresh, and beautiful day!
Much chirruping and chirping outside, the dawn chorus is well under way, not long to sunrise
Pimmy, I’ve been splashing out on some spring and summer clobber too. Deck shoes, t shirts, sunglasses etc, great minds think alike
It’s going to be a gorgeous sunny day, much to catch up on at home but when all is done and dusted I can let my hair down at the weekend. Metaphorically speaking of course, Rapunzel I am not!
Good morning everyone, I won’t mention the weather as I don’t want to “dampen” your moods.
I’m off to the hairdresser’s later on this morning, no Rapunzel hairstyle for me , that was way back in the 70s/early 80s, ohh the good old days.
Firstly stopping at the pastry shop to buy some traditional cream choux buns for today,it’s Father’s Day here which also coincides with St.Joseph’s Day. I’ll be taking them to my parents’ house where me and my son will be stopping over for lunch today.
Wise choice Bruce, enjoy your Summer shopping sprees Pimmy and Chilli.
Wishing everyone a good Thursday. Get ready for the New Moon tonight, Equinox tomorrow, time to start afresh.
Finished my little job, am quite pleased with it, those silly covers have gone too which meant I could put the USBs horizontal (the mount is for mounting on top of the dash in a four by four)
I put the now spare USB outlet in the kitchen part of the campers so it wasn’t wasted.
A little bit of drama here with a small water leak on our boiler and having to get an engineer out to have a look at it, which has thrown everything into disarray. Seriously unhappy about this as we had the thing serviced only recently. This also means the wife can’t go to the gym as we have no idea when he’ll turn up. Apart from that, business as usual here by the seaside.
Another Sunny warm day in store , I like when I can leave the patio doors open.
With Easter not too far away Ive been looking at where there is to go ,and do … A Steam Fair , a Country House or a short Ramble ,of course it all depends on the weather.
@Graham Hope you have deep pockets the call out alone can be pricey .
@Chilliboot and @Pimmy , Ive been ordering my Spring and Summer clothes online even though I keep saying no more , Charity shops are doing well out of me . My excuse is last years attire are too big .
My neighbours are still on their cruise – due back Saturday. Their daughter brought the cat home from the cattery last night so I am back on cat duty. Went in to feed her this morning, she was very vocal but allowed me to cuddle her for a short time before venturing out to inspect the garden – I now have enough cat hair on me to make another cat!
You may recall I mentioned I had lost weight during my holiday in Australia – everyone I see is mentioning it, even my gardener mentioned it yesterday – I am now beginning to wonder just how fat I was!
Off later to meet up with the usual bunch for coffee, cake and gossip
Such sad news about Mart kinda knocked me off my perch forgot what I was going to say prob something trivial!
Oh yes I’m packing , renting a cottage near Tunbridge Wells for a week with a dear friend .
Hope the good weather continues .
Better pack an umbrella
Good Day everyone…
Took the motor to the garage for it’s service and MOT. The bloke keeps it all day and gives me a call when it’s done.
The garage is only half a mile from here and it’s on my walk anyway, so I went in me shorts and walking shoes.
It was so cold with visibility down to just a few hundred yards, probably due to the hot day we had yesterday. It actually reached 19 degrees C on my thermometer.
Unfortunately @Pimmy Mart passed away in February and Mrs Mart was in hospital so has only just been able to post the bad news…RIP Mart…
I feel truly shocked and deeply saddened. he was always so genuine and kind. I’m really sorry to hear of his passing, it’s hard to believe he’s gone. RIP Mart!
