Those formal dinner nights on a cruise had me in fits of laughter. Apart from hating and not joining in., just watching the men in their bow ties and dinner suits looks just like a parade of penguins making for the sea. You get the fat ones wadding along and the younger passing them quickly to get the best table.
Best cruise entertainment one could wish for
As for the women in their posh dresses they only ever worn once before. I have to reserve my comments so as not to offend
Good Morning from Foxy’s World…
Did my walk/jog early to avoid the heat and the blazing sun. It went well with no problems to report. Haven’t seen my stalker since I left him behind on Monday, he’s probably got the message.
We are almost half way through the year and after Saturday the nights will start to get longer.
Time seems to go by so fast these days and the candle of life has almost burnt down to the sloppy bit of melted fat and last remains of the wick in the bottom of the saucer…It just needs a draught to snuff it out for good…
Anyway, enough of the good news…
Our bin day today too @Bruce and Mrs Fox is busy collecting all the rubbish bags from the kitchen and garage. It’s our black bins today (general waste)
That looks like a corker of a camera @Chilliboot I’ve quite a bit of ‘Canon’ stuff and it’s very good quality, especially my digital camera, although I don’t think I could go back to film again, but if you are interested in photography I’m sure that you will produce some good prints.
They are certainly cracking on with the footings and base @mart good luck with the shed transportation, I hope it all moves in one piece…
I’m just the opposite @Graham my suit trousers are too tight around the waist since I retired and turned into a couch potato. I only wear it on the new years eve ball we always attend. Hopefully there might still be a good med cruise left in us yet…
It’s a tough time for cats in this hot weather @SheilaP when we had Maddie she slept most of the day and went out all night. She used to stagger in as I was just going for my early morning run. We passed on the doorstep…
I used to love to dress for dinner during a cruise @realspeed probably the highlight of the trip.
Thank god, I hate these dark mornings and early sunsets, it doesn’t get light until nearly 7am and is dark just after 5pm. Hate it
I must admit I avoided the formal dinner nights on the cruise even though suits on Australian cruises are not compulsory, a collared shirt was and I only own one (for funerals and weddings) and I certainly didn’t pack it for a cruise.
A very bad day yesterday, carers could not wake me up properly.
My body reacting to so many days without sleep.
Much better today, managed washing my hair and a shave and a good rubdown and all over deodorant and a complete change of clothes.
Went out in my Carers car, she went off to get money out for me whilst I leant on a trolly to get some veg plants, they are right next to the disabled parking.
Stubbed my toe, still bleeding two hours later, but starting to win the battle against my blood thinners.
Hot here today and supposed to hit 30 tomorrow. That’s me knackered. All I seem capable of doing is sitting relaxing on the bed reading my kindle whilst eating ice cream.
@Chilliboot that Canon is a little beauty. I’m sucker for these old toys, but I also like the latest retro gear. Having said that, when faced with the which-camera dilemma recently I chose the smaller, least shiny, least sexy option.
I’m going to sound a thicko here but … sally forth and tally ho and all that.
Is that retro as in film camera rather than digital?
Can you still get hold of film?
I’m not sure what you mean d00d?
I’ve been avoiding the sun, sipping on glasses of fruit juice and iced water and totally avoiding alcohol
Behaving badly would finish me off in this heat!
Mind you, we’re considering a trip to Arundel tomorrow, might let my hair down then…
Yes you can still get a variety of different film Morticia
It really is a bit of a niche thing however. Boots the Chemist still process it although it’s not particularly cheap. Fortunately I’ve found an an alternative processer/film supplier who’s considerably more affordable…phew!
