Good Morning Thursday, 17th July 2025

Good morning all.

I woke with a start at 5.51am this morning suddenly fearful that I had forgotten to put the bins out last night. It took a few moments for be to recover my composure and realise that today was Thursday not Friday and that the bins don’t go out until today.

Here they are in all their Dalek like glory, standing sentinel in front of my house. I rarely put out all three bins so today is a photo op :icon_wink:

Before I put the bins out I went to the PO Box to collect a couple of packages from Amazon, as I left the house I discover another package of 130watt solar panel left on my verandah from a different company, Not sure if it arrived this morning or yesterday arvo. It’s all happening here!

On the way home I called in at an Op Shop and bought a few books to read - I need to stop this - I am buying books quicker than I can read them. :frowning_with_open_mouth: But a bargain is a bargain.

Have a tremendous Thursday, my work is done for the day, still warm enough to sit outside in the sun (in a cardigan) so that is probably where I will be.

Take care…

Hi

Good Morning All.

Yesterday did not go at all as expected.

A sudden and severe attack of the runs which affected my readings and left me feeling very weak and sorry for myself.

A couple of deliveries did not arrive as expected but an unexpected delivery of Meds did, which had to go in the fridge.

Refrigerated meds invariably mean that a nurse with a needle will be arriving today followed by another to take blood tests in the next couple of days.

An email from my Funeral Plan provider reminding me that they have an offer on of £200 if I purchased a second plan, but that the second plan had to be for someone other than myself and that said second Funeral Plan could not be for myself.

Why would anyone want to pay for two cremations for themselves?

The day got more exciting with the arrival of two large Response Police Officers next door with another Police Car blocking the road and a Tow Truck.

A brief but quite noisy few minutes and an almost new, high powered, bright yellow and black, Suzuki Motor Bike was removed from the property and taken away on the Tow Truck.

A scene causing great interest to the junior school children watching .

The day was rounded off by a new TV Detective Series, a very well produced piece set just after the War in 1950s London, quirky characters and interesting sub plots.

An interesting day and a busy one ahead.

Take care and have a good one yourself.

Good morning!
Bright, sunny, and warm

I hope it stays like that as I’m going away for a few days to visit -

Thornton le Dale, where the TV series Bangers & Cash is based
A mooch round Pickering, look at the museum, call at a pub, that sort of thing
A friend now lives in Pickering and is in a blues band, and they are playing at a Bands & BBQ day at a local pub, so I’ll be going to watch them

Depending on the weather and how I feel I might stay a bit longer

Morning all from a grey and cloudy southern Hampshire.

Not too much happening here, have to ferry Mrs G to the gym later, which probably means we’re eating lunch out somewhere. Looks like its going to be a full-on garden day tomorrow, assuming the weather holds up as Mrs G is off with her cousins.

Have booked a photoshoot for August, which means Mrs G and my sister-in-law gets to go round a shopping centre and gossip for the day - so she’s happy.

Have a good day all…

:grinning:

Morning all – rain overnight and this morning but promise of some sunshine later

My lovely neighbour called in yesterday with her weekly delivery of homemade cake!

Plans for today are some shopping and then off to the hairdresser. I am having it coloured so that will be 3 hours of the day gone. I will take a book with me to help pass the time! I would normally be meeting the girls for coffee and gossip but won’t be able to fit them in today.

Take care – have a lovely day everyone

Good morning all! :cloud:

Chilli jnr is having lovely time in Scotland with family! :scotland:

Looks so peaceful, and he’s very much enjoying pampering the family moggy…

I’m just pottering around making one hell of a mess and thoroughly enjoying it to be honest. The basil seedlings have been moved on before putting them in their final containers. I love fresh basil, can’t get enough it! :yum:

I’ve also been indulging in a little window shopping…we shall see. Tough as old boots…

I’m referring to this particular model of camera, not me! :slightly_smiling_face:

Have a good day people! :+1:
