Good morning on this warm, wet Thursday. 22° today, it was foggy this morning and it looks a bit grey but there is definitely a hint of Spring in the air.
Thursday is bin day, or rather the night the bins go out for collection in the morning.
Had an interesting morning with the oncologist who explained some of the things ahead, the actual radiation starts in November 5 days a week for four weeks but before then I have to be tattooed and radio active markers inserted, MRIs, blood tests, hormone injections and god knows what else. The centre is at the rear of the Wollongong Hospital and, as always seems to be the case, the staff are lovely and hunt in packs (or a “team” as they call it). They are so nice they make you feel glad you have cancer
Just to make you laugh I was going to take a pic in front of the main hospital to show the traffic nightmare that is the city of Wollongong. Bugger me if it wasn’t as quiet as anything.
Wishing you well with all the procedures Bruce. Seems we’re following similar paths.
The Sun is shining again today, I’ll be meeting my Nephew at my brother’s (R.I.P.) house this morning. He has kindly offered to tidy up the garden prior to a house viewing on Saturday.
Wife and daughter are going into town this afternoon. I’ll be going to pick up medication from the pharmacy. Then a bit of time to relax I hope
good morning just as I am late on parade. nice to see some more local pictures Bruce.
I suppost there is less traffic because the Kangaroos are on the march down that road flag waving in protest of traffic polution
Morning all – cloudy this morning with occasional glimpses of sunshine!
Wishing you good luck with your treatment Bruce – my brother went through the same thing 10 years ago, he is doing well and is as annoyingly irritating as usual!
Thankfully, no singalong yesterday. This morning I have my usual meet up with friends for coffee, cake and gossip
Plan for this afternoon is to clean the silver before sending for the auctioneer to confirm whether it is worth sending all my junk treasures to auction
A blustery but sunny day today, just right for the dog walk, very pleasant. A quick look around the forum and then some housework for me this morning and then gardening this afternoon, if I feel in the mood - or maybe I’ll just settle with my book - decisions, decisions!
Best wishes to you @Bruce on your treatment, hope it all goes well, which I’m sure that it will. I do enjoy looking at your photos. In the early 60’s I almost emigrated to Australia - on the £10 poms ticket, but circumstances at the time prevented me going so it’s interesting to see what life is like out there through your posts and pictures.
Ah well, I better get the vacuum cleaner out before I talk myself out of it!
Good Morning From Foxy’s World…
A sprightly three and a half mile jog/walk early on, although it was overcast and cool when I set off, so I wore a jumper, but regretted it after half way round…
Didn’t get the garden done yesterday because our daughter and hubby turned up just as I was going to start. They came to take photos of stuff they’ve been keeping in our summer house. It was overflow when they moved house and asked if they could store it here for six months…That was in 2019… Anyway, they decided to sell it…Beds, Exercise bike, Fridge, a great big garden swing still in it’s box, and other assorted stuff…I’d forgot what the inside of the summer house looked like…
Good luck with your treatment Bruce, hope it all goes well…
