Good morning to you all on this overcast and cool Thursday morning.
Had a lovely 10mm of rain overnight which was very welcome.
Took the dog for his walk early before going to my Seniors’ meeting, he is happy to see me back but I have a busy arvo beckoning as I am off to Canberra tomorrow so packing to be done as well as writing minutes. The dog is expecting more of me.

Neighbour called in with her homemade cupcakes yesterday – my waistline is rapidly expanding!! I am going out for dinner with them tonight and they are off tomorrow morning for a week cruising the Caribbean. I will envy them the weather but not the early start – they have to be at the airport by 4.00 am!!
This morning is the usual get together with the girls for coffee which is always an enjoyable time.
The good news is I think I have found a cleaner – she is calling on Tuesday to discuss what is needed to be done – unfortunately she can’t actually start until 9th December!
Just as a matter of interest whereabouts (roughly) in Kent are you? I was born in Gloucestershire but grew up in Kent, initially Borough Green/Wrotham area then Folkestone on the Kent coast
Good morning - The doctor came out to me today. A rare event.
I feel OK and I’m going to the pub with my very good friend at lunchtime. It will be the first pint with a bag of crisps I’ve had for weeks. It will be good to get some normality.
Mrs mart will be going to her craft group this afternoon and I’ll be channel hopping on the TV after a bit of exercise.
Good Morning everyone, and those late risers in the good old USofA. Under new management now…
An exotic 8 degrees C this morning on my lively 3.5 miler, and with plenty of jogging I produced a decent time. Not a best time I hasten to add…I’ve just added up my total mileage for this year (including biking, running and walking) and it comes to 967 miles, so with a good six weeks to go I should make it to one thousand…Barring mishaps!
It’s the day of reckoning today when Mrs Fox returns home on the 14:35 train from Hull.
I’ll be on taxi duty…
Marigolds discarded and bathroom spotless, vacuum cleaner standing by, pots washed and removed from sink area, and browsing history deleted off Google.
Anything else?..
Aw yes…Margaret still asleep in the second bedroom…
I may or may not survive to write tomorrows good morning post…So It’s been nice knowing you all…
My shoes are soaked thanks to the wet reminders of last night’s thunderstorms, but it felt great to be out in the cool day, under a warm sun, with the birds who were singing their happiness. I chose an asphalt trail that is usually empty, but this morning I encountered a massive cycling group of older people that were struggling with their bikes. C’est la vie; who could begrudge them from likewise enjoying such a beautiful day and being out there exercising! Besides, all that dodging, hopping and weaving to avoid them kept me on my toes!
Good to read that Sheila has found a cleaner and Mart is had concierge medical treament and then a lunch out. Such as it should be!
I’ve hauled the suitcase out for the New Orleans and Chicago trips, and the place is a behive of activity - mostly aimed in my direction. I may have limited posting abilities, but I will do my best! Hope you do likewise, @Bruce! Safe traveling.
You are a good BH to have the place so welcoming, OGF. I usually get a sink of dishes and an empty fridge .
I await the last train from Yuma…Or in this case Beverley.
It’s like being part of a scene from ‘Gunfight at the OK coral’…
Those Clantons were rough lot…
I leave you with this thought Surfermom…
If all the girls lived over the sea…
What a good swimmer Robert would be…
