Good morning all on this busy morning. The ground is damp from last night’s rain and I think it has actually rained while I have been indoors but it hasn’t rained at all when I was outside.
No walk for me because I had an appointment at the cataract specialist, very short visit and I explained how pleased I was with my new eyes. After an examination and some tests I was off.
As luck would have it a bus arrived almost immediately and I was home again before 10am. I was able to get to my seniors’ meeting so will be writing minutes as soon as I post this. The assistant secretary was relieved that she didn’t have to.
Checked my rain gauge and we had over 10mm last night which was very much needed.
Morning all – another sunny start to the day but forecast to become cloudy, windy, wet and cold – top temperature 13c! What is happening? Seems winter is coming back!
Neighbour called in yesterday with homemade cakes (she has no respect for my waistline – but they are delicious!). They have been back from their cruise for a week and are off on Sunday for a week at their property in Spain. Am I jealous?
Usual Thursday meet-up with the girls today followed by grocery shopping

Sunny, dry, but a bit cool
We had a thunderstorm with rain & hail last night, but it’s all cleared now
I’ve had a shower and feel slightly better than yesterday, but still a bit weak & cold & sniffly, so nothing too strenuous or taxing planned for today
I’ll try to catch up on paperwork & emails … and about two days of washing up
I thought I would go to the near by Market town its market day , you don’t see so many open markets Stalls any more and in fact not many markets at all . The Supermarkets have a lot to answer for…
The sun is shinning but its cold with it rain is forecast so better take a hat , I hardly use a Brolly anymore .
The weather is very changeable here in West Sussex. I’ve just hung up a wash on the line which means it’s likely to pour down any minute now!
Back to the great indoors, just soaking some potatoes wedges for about thirty minutes to remove the excess starch. Then it’s drain, dry, a light coating of flour, season and into the air fryer with them
