Good morning everyone. Yet another sunny but very cool day.
Busy busy, busy, seniors meeting this morning and I have just finished writing up the minutes, next meeting is the AGM so lots of preparation for that.
Thursday as always holds the excitement of bin day in the morning, it is a full quota today, the trifecta, landfill, recycling and green waste, all have to be out for the morning. I did notice in the UK bin collection is very labour intensive even with the wheelie bins, they are still manhandled and put on the machine manually whereas our collection is a one man operation with the machine doing all the heavy lifting.
It always surprises me that “hot” places have much more stable temperatures than places with seasons.
I mean that places like Darwin (or indeed any place near the equator) has virtually the same temperature all year round, only varying by a degree or two, whereas places with normally a more temperate climate can swing from freezing to over 40° at the drop of a hat.
It seems counter intuitive to me.
A winter complaint! I presume it is age related but this year, for the very first time, my arthritis has definitely been influenced by the cold. It is not extremely painful or anything like that, just annoyingly noticeable and twingy (is that a word?).
I have been dropping not too subtle hints that my youngest son’s new house needs a granny flat so I have somewhere warm to stay in the dry season. Alas it won’t happen I don’t think (who want their dad hanging about?) but I live in hope.
