Had a short walk this morning - just to the river and back. Too dark and cold to stay out for long. Have put the recycling stuff out, made a chilli con carne to have for tonight’s dinner, a cauldron of veg soup is abrewing nicely, cats groomed, fed and teeth cleaned - think I have earned a bacon sandwich and a pot of tea!
Going to do some die cutting for a friend later - that will be fun.
I’m off to the doctors first thing this morning to have a mole removed from my back.
I don’t think it’s anything to worry about but it gets irritated by my clothes rubbing on it.
The rest of the day is free. I think we might go another ride round on Tony’s new mobility scooter - venture a but further than we have been doing. We haven’t yet tried taking it to bits & putting it in the car boot but it must done sometime!
Blimey, Tabby’s done a day’s work and I’m not even dressed! Or had breakfast or taken dog out. Just about to have first set of tablets with a cuppa.
Collecting laptop from computer shop later this morning, and getting a refill of hand wash from the shop next door. No dogs allowed in there so can’t take Holly on this trip. Computer man always gives her a biscuit.
Later I will also be searching for something that I thought was easy to hand but isn’t. They are some genealogy certificates that I need to back up some answers to someone who is helping with our family tree (my nephew’s friend). Seems there are a few certs that are missing.
I hope that rain has stopped. I chucked Holly into the garden last night for her toilets. Damned if I was getting wet too! I had got dressed ready to go, at 9, but she’d claimed my spot on the sofa and wouldn’t give it up, so I didn’t bother. I’ll get dressed now and take her.
Morning all, bit grey out there. Think I’ll stay in here.
You know, I reckon Tabby is not being quite truthful with us. I mean, she lets us believe she’s somewhere in the UK (but cleverly doesn’t actually say that on her profile!). I reckon she really lives somewhere else, somewhere that’s around 3 hours ahead of us - Turkey? Russia? That would account for her getting a day’s work in before most of us are up and about
Got another sweater to make for my granddaughter today - she wants a cat embroidered on it, so I’ve found a lovely design. Then we’re off out to the theatre this evening to see The Da Vinci Code. This was a present from our son for Christmas 2019, originally booked for August 2020, but then cancelled because of Covid, and rescheduled twice. Now it’s actually going ahead!
I was up and about earlier, but fell asleep again. So now I’m actually up, and ready to begin another day.
Its raining here, so I think I will try and organise someone (a charity) to uplift some furniture, and then put a few smaller bits and bobs outside. Guaranteed it won’t be there in the morning
Good morning everyone it’s much colder today but fine.
A breakfast of Porridge with seeds and a glass of Kafir consumed I am going to try to do some cleaning. I have only manage to do a bare minimum of late because of my ailing body but intend to do what I can today followed by some baking for the children, chocolate slab containing cacao , nuts and raisins so it has a healthy element. I will make some cakes tomorrow and go up on Saturday for an outside visit.
I’m at work but will be leaving soon to go get ready for my hospital visit for diabetic nurse to teach me how to administer Johns insulin, can’t remember if I told you but he can’t do it himself as he only has one arm so it will be difficult. Johns been told me may be out tomorrow!!! Eeeeeee I’m so giddy.
The dog and parrot will be giddy too when they see him. Can’t believe the moment is nearing to have my man back home where he belongs. Soooooo excited and happy.
Yes - every second day. Nemo is OK with it, but I have to wrap Willow up like an Egyptian mummy - and make sure I have brandy and bandages to hand - for me - not her!
Cheek! I am in deepest Yorkshire - but I was up before 5:00am today.
Good Morning from Foxy’s World…
Had an x-ray about a month ago and they told me not to worry but they have made me an appointment at the local hospital and its today…
I can vouch for Tabby Sheba…
I think it was the lungs they were more concerned about Tabby, I don’t know what all the fuss is about though, I couldn’t do some of the things I do if it was owt serious…
Me too, Maree. That is why a lie in is essential for me. As long as Holly is not hassling me for her first walk (though she can get me up in the night for a garden visit), I will get up when I feel like it. Could be anytime between 7-9.
Been hare a minute and remembered I had been rude and not said Good Moring. So good morning everyone. It’s 1° with a high of 14°. I hope every one has a great day.
