Good Morning Thursday, 10th April 2025

Good very belated morning dear forum people. I nearly forgot in my excitement about Thursday!

Seniors’ meeting this morning, minutes all done and dusted. A lady at the club meeting reminded me about the Pompeii exhibition in Canberra so I have been frantically booking a ticket for myself next week and trying to contact my daughter to make sure I can stay at her place.

Booked, happy, looking forward to it.

Bin day tomorrow but I remembered, in fact all three bins are out there in readiness.

Have a wonderful Friday, all is well with the world.

Take care…

Good morning all

I’d be jumping at the chance to see the Pompeii exhibition , if it was close by .

Today I have a food delivery , Im looking forward to the Dark chocolate biscuits ,not had any chocolate in ages .

The rest of the day I shall relax , I have to be up early and out the door by 8am tomorrow and on my first Bus to town , then walk across town to my next Bus ,to get me to Hospital for my 10am appointment, for my yearly review on my Heart Scans and Echo .

We went a walk with dog across the fields and I took a photo of the Glamping Tents .

A Whicker Deer stands in front of the first Tent on the left , with a sign warning of deer in the area . We sometimes see them in the distance on our walks and their foot prints , are sure signs they are out and about .

Have a good day all .

Good morning!
Bright, sunny, clear, and warm

I’m going to a local community centre soon to discuss the latest progress with Burnley Men’s Shed
It’s close to Farm foods so I’ll do some shopping afterwards

Then this afternoon I’ll go to the library as they have a book I’ve requested

Morning all – a bit overcast and cold this morning, although we are promised lots of sun for later.

Glad to see your post Bruce, I was worried when I went online and you hadn’t posted – just because you have been busy isn’t any excuse – get your priorities right :grinning:

I envy you realspeed - Pompeii has been on my bucket list for a long time.

My new books arrived yesterday, unfortunately not until 6.15 pm!! Can’t blame the delivery driver as I am sure he had a busy day, but I do get twitchy if I don’t have a book “on the go”!

Had some very early visitors this morning (they were lucky I was dressed!), Jehovah Witnesses “inviting” me to a get together on Saturday. I politely declined. I am accepting of anyone’s beliefs but after a confrontation with a particular aggressive member of that church as a teenager I give them very little of my time.

Regular Thursday meet up with the “girls” today followed by grocery shopping.

Take care – have a great day

Good Morning Everyone…
My knee held up well on my early three mile walk this morning, hands were a bit cold despite wearing some thin gloves. Apparently it’s going to get up to 18 degrees C this afternoon, so some work in the garden planned for later.
I need to find some space to fly the drone, I took it in the garden for a test run and it didn’t end well. Just flew at me and crashed into some bushes.
Mrs Fox has fallen out with me again, so I’d better shut up shop and find a job…You folks who live on your own just don’t know how lucky you are…

Today we are headed into town to pick up a few things. We’ll go for a walk while we’re there…
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning! The birds have been singing the last hour, even though the sun hasn’t peeked over the horizon yet. My favorite time of day when the world is quieter.

I have been spring cleaning lately and need to put some items on for sale. My DH would save it all for the kids to toss later. lol

Good afternoon from sunny West Sussex! :sun_with_face::sunflower:

I’ve just returned from our Sainsbury’s after a biggish shop, deffo a taxi ride home.

I vaguely remember wagyu burgers being discussed on the forum some time back, a bit pricey but sometimes less is more :yum:

No thank you very much! :open_mouth:

I resisted the temptation to stock up on this stuff! It doesn’t appear to be flying off the shelves, can’t imagine why…

Enjoy the rest of your day people! :+1:

It started in December when decided i wanted to go but to be honest completely forgot about it until this lady reminded me. It closes in early May so I was a bit panicked to fit it in before Easter and Anzac Day. but all is well.

The last exhibition I went to at that museum was about Rome another paid one, the main body of the massive museum is free but it is only $20 entry for the Pompeii part. (concession)

The curator there does a really good job of making it interesting and easy to follow.

As for near me, it is a 250km drive each way  If my daughter couldn’t have put me up I would have booked a motel for the night.

It looks like you visited with the entire population of Pompeii accompanying you :icon_wink:

I suspect it will be like that at this exhibition.

It was just one of those really busy days - I don’t get many - but I checked to make sure no one had already started the Good Morning thread, it has been a feature of this forum for so many years it is becoming an institution. I forget who used to start it on the old “chat” board but it was someone from the UK.
