Good Morning Sunday, 8th March 2026

Good morning on this dull Sunday, at least the humidity has gone. Took the dog out for a walk this morning, we had a great time, I was so moved I wrote a poem:

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of… er… Bin Chickens

Alas the dog has left to go back to Canberra along with its family. I was just looking after the grandkids last night while the parents attended a concert in Sydney. I received a phone call about midnight saying that they had crashed on the way home. Sounds to me like he was driving too fast on wet roads lost the back end (it’s a ute) and over corrected and hit a barrier. The impact dislocated his thumb so he had to go to Wollongong hospital and is now in a cast. The car is a bit dented but drivable.

As for me I will have a quiet Sunday, some time next week I must remember to go to pathology lab for a PSA test for my cancer checkup in a couple of weeks.

Anyway, that’s the weekend nearly over, Wednesday looks like being the first day where there is no chance of rain.

Have a satisfactory Sunday.

Take care…

Sorry to hear about your sons mishap Bruce, I’m glad to hear it wasn’t too serious.
A good poem, but the ending needs some work…
Foggy here this morning but the cold northerly wind has dropped so it does feel quite mild.
Managed to jog and walk around my short course this morning but it’s taken all of my energy, so I’ll catch up with the Australian F1 and probably doze off. It’s Mrs Fox’s turn to cook dinner so I’ll leave the technical stuff to her, especially the washing up.
