Major task ahead - resuscitation of my trusty EBosser (die cutting machine) - it swallowed a very expensive die - then dropped dead on me yestermorn! Tried all the revival techniques listed in the user manual - nothing worked. Today I will see what a screwdriver in it’s innards can accomplish.
Need a large pot of tea and a pile of toast first though.
Surprisingly sunny this morning but cool, decided to get my washing done. Just after I finished hanging it my youngest son and his dog arrived from Sydney as part of my “singles bubble”. My first visitors for 12 weeks.
Discovered the solar panel on my carport roof had been blown upside down by the recent winds which explained why my camper battery wasn’t being charged.
Clouded over this arvo but no rain after 8mm yesterday. I lie, it has just started raining (at 4.30pm)
It is the day before my son & DIL - Ady & Paula, move house. It is absolute chaos!
As the house they’re leaving has to be spotlessly clean before they get the deposit back I have offered to do some of the cleaning for them. Today I’m going to clean the cooker & the windows. They will be busy taking small stuff up to the new house in the car. Tony is going to come with me & hopefully amuse Josh on the park.
I think that will take me the good part of the day. Oven cleaning is my worst nightmare!!
Tomorrow - moving day I will be at the old house cleaning the bathroom & downstairs toilet & cleaning any mess they leave behind. Also on hand to provide drinks/sandwiches/ etc. Josh will be at school thankfully & I will meet him & take him to his new home…
I’ve also done their washing & ironing from last week. All nicely folded and ready to be delivered.
I won’t have much time to myself in the next few days. Have cancelled all my activities/swimming/walks/ etc…
Originally Paula’s parents were going to help but Stu (her dad) is still weak from the covid and Karen (her mum) has had a shoulder operation.
I am the only one to help except for Paula & Adys friends who will be helping move the stuff.
Morning all, same story here too, a bit dull but signs of the sun wanting to break through later.
Just back from the forest and having a brew before picking some more raspberries and blackberries from the garden and storing them in the freezer. A few odd jobs to do then in the garden but nothing major so I may muck out the car…
Good morning everyone a beautiful day and I am heading for the garden.
I went to the nursery yesterday and bought and planted some cyclamen and a new sage plant the old one had become woody and sad looking.
Lots more to do in the garden. I have ordered some Iris bulbs and hope to prepare a spot for them.
Enjoy your day
Good morning everyone, it’s a bit of a dull start but it’s forecast to be dry all day with some sunshine. Which is just as well as we’ve booked to take daughter and granddaughter somewhere special today. This will be the first time for the little one and she will be so excited when she realises where we’re going - she knows we’re taking them somewhere, but doesn’t know where!
We’re going to the zoo, zoo, zoo, how about you, you, you?
can you believe it, having said in my earlier post no sun today, its been clear blue skies and full sun, temp in the mid 20’s and had to dig my shorts out again
