I have been a busy bee this morning washed all my clothes and hung them on the line, they dried in a couple of hours even though there was hardly any wind.
Don’t worry it is not that uncomfortable, it has fitted cushions for the seats and back.
Apart from that am not sure how I am going to spend the rest of the day, it is supposed to get to 31° even though it is partially cloudy. Just wish there was a bit more of a breeze.
Anyway, try to contain your excitement - we have the Melbourne Cup, Guy Fawkes Night and the US Election coming up all on the same day on Tuesday.
For the past few weeks I’ve hardly been anywhere apart from short trips to the supermarket so today I’ll have a drive round for an hour or so to get the engine hot and warm everything
But I’ll probably also call at a supermarket seeing as I’m out - probably ALDI instead of my usual Sainsbury
Later I’ll get started on a hobby, something I haven’t felt like doing for several weeks - might be a model plane, might be some leatherwork
@Surfermom - I have loads of vinyl LPs, cassettes, both pre recorded & copied, and a few CDs - mostly Pop & Prog Rock, but also Folk, Classical & Jazz
I started with a couple of LPs by Wishbone Ash & Caravan
Though lately I find I’m listening more & more on YouTube, because once you enter a video the Links & Prompts suggest all sorts of obscure bands that I’ve heard of or vaguely remember, and you can go on like that for ages
Also recently I’ve been listening to Miles Davis on YT
Good morning everyone. Another warm, sunny day , particularly mild weather we’ve been having for this time of year. During this long weekend many people have chosen beach holidays .
@Bruce, oh yes, Guy Fawkes 5th November, brings back memories of my childhood days in London, doing the “Penny for the guy”. This ritual was really popular in our neighborhood, all the kids did it. My best friend and I would dig out old clothes and stuff them with newspapers to make a sort of guy.
Morning all – dull, grey and overcast (again)! Still according to local radio it is a mild start to the day as the temperature is 9c!
Bruce and Rose, you are making me jealous with that lovely weather!
Glad you are continuing to improve zuludog
Ah yes, Guy Fawkes Night! Unfortunately as it is on a Tuesday this year we have had noisy fireworks last night, probably again tonight, Tuesday and next weekend.
One of the cleaning companies I contacted replied – they don’t do Tuesdays (which is my preferred day). Hopefully I will receive replies from the other companies I have contacted. Who knew it would be so difficult to find a cleaner!
I also haven’t heard from the carpenter about the summer house I want built!
Felt a bit unwell yesterday (nothing serious) so spent most of the day lying on the sofa with a blanket over me – and (whisper it) I even switched on the TV and ended up watching a couple of DVDs! Feeling better today so will have to catch up with the housework I didn’t get done yesterday.
Good Morning from Robert’s Residence…
Blimey Bruce that’s work on an industrial scale, but what is that red Tee shirt doing among all those blue ones?
I remember Wishbone Ash Zulu, although my LP’s are a bit later on with Beatles albums, Sky, Rick Wakeman, ELO, Shadows, Dusty Springfield and more classical albums than you can shake a stick at…Glad you’re feeling better…
Look at that sky Rose…beautiful, and I want to squeeze into my budgie smugglers and bask in that calm warm sea…
The weather is the same here Sheila, overcast and dark, but quite pleasant for my early morning walk/jog out in the country, and quite unseasonal at 11 degrees C.
What a nice way to start the day with a virtual visit to Italy and Australia! I always enjoy the pictures.
Blue sky, perfect temps, the house is clean, and 4 slow-ish miles are knocked out. I am about to sit down for the annual family budget review that invariable results is shock, finger-pointing, bawling, blood letting, accusations, and vows of austerity for the next year .
Ha, just kidding - except for the last part.
Enjoy the music @zuludog . YouTube is a treasure chest of music and concerts, Miles Davis among them.
I hope you all have a financially fuss-free rest of your weekend!
