Good morning to all who follow here, only one more day of winter left, according to BOM this has been the mildest winter ever, certainly the snow season was rubbish with most resorts either closed or closing early for the season. (Not that I care about that but there are those that do.)
My daughter rang me earlier to talk about our trip, she reckons it will all be good, the track is 4WD only at the moment but there is no rain forecast so it should dry out by the time we get there middle of the following week. Hope she is right.
I will start packing the car this week, because of my diligent washing machine I have already been able to put aside enough clothes for the trip and will start loading the car this week. These things seem to sneak up on you.
Yesterday I did fly my drone for a little while and I checked on the progress of the local clubās car park. It seems to be taking forever!
Good morning!
Cloudy & dull; damp but not actually raining
Thanks to the flu I had for a while earlier this year which has left me feeling weak & tired Iāve hardly done anything useful or been anywhere for ages
Itās the last day of Colne Blues Festival today, only one bus ride away, and I thought
Oh blow it! (thatās the polite version) Pull your finger out Geoffrey!
So Iāve fortified myself with a couple of cups of coffee with a dose of whisky in them, and Iām setting off in search of Blues, Beer, and Burgers.
I was supposed to be on a photoshoot today, but the weather turned bad and the model decided not to show up as this was an outside shoot. So Iām at a loose end for the day. Again!
Last night the wife decided we needed to book another cruise, this time touring around the Mediterranean, taking in Egypt, Greece, Tunisia for about a month next year, having mentioned that Iād never been to all these places. Next to that, was the booking of excursions and trips in the various ports, all of which created a hole in my pension savings and putting down any chance of me buying a new lens for my camera! If the trip was a couple of days earlier, we would have been in the path of yet another total eclipse which would have meant a chance to get a better photo of it. Even though this cruise is just less than a year away, sheās already planning what clothes to take and is writing a shopping list as I write this.
Meanwhile, I dare say Iāll be having my morning coffee accompanied with a toasty sandwich. Have a great day allā¦
Morning
Just popping in to say hello and to wish you all a good bank holiday.
We had loads of rain last night again, so i guess the drought is officially over and weāll soon be able to get those lawn mowers out of storage - what fun!
The family of hedgehogs living in my garden seem to love the cooler wetter conditions, as they were all out there last night frolicking and having fun, bless them.
Ho Hedgehogs here, but a family of field mice and some squirrels.
The Care Home has a huge rear garden backing onto trees.
The Virtual Ward Nurse has just left after a 40 minute visit which was very detailed.
They only come for a fortnight after discharge from Hospital.
They are arranging a visit here from a Physio and a Community Physio when I get home.
One thing I learnt today which really surprised me.
GPs get a fixed Annual Sum per patient, even if they never go to see the Doctor or if like me, they need regular blood tests and are unable to get to the surgery and need constant visits from the Practice Paramedics.
Today, my car door lock broke, so I had a mechanic come to my house to fix it. After that, I went to the hospital for a one-hour massage. At first, my whole body was very sore and achy, but I felt much better after the massage.
On the way home, I stopped to buy some food. When I got home, it started raining very heavily, and I accidentally fell asleep. I just woke up and Iām about to have dinner.
