End of term and all I need to do is concentrate on zoning out for two weeks.
Was looking through old photos of my children, as you do, and my goodness the time has just disappeared without me paying attention. I realised yesterday evening, as I chastised my six foot+ son of seventeen for not drying and putting away the dishes, that yes, he could simply ignore me and walk out the door, while stepping on me as he does so. But he simply said sorry, and donned the gloves.
Why did it affect me? Because the behaviour I see on a daily basis makes me question this generation of children (not all, but some). Not having to argue or physically move out the way of a full on tantrum, when chairs are flying or a child screaming at you because you’ve told them, 'no you can’t just walk out of lesson because you don’t like the topic! Or parents screaming at you while on the phone because you’ve given their child a consequence for punching another child in the face because they ‘didn’t want to get tagged in a game of tag!’ Makes me grateful for the lack of confrontation.
Training this morning when the gym opens and then will start book 8 of the Orphan x series. Absolutely thrilling read. If you haven’t read it, give it a try. The first book will keep you hooked.

It’s a dull Autumn day here today. I spent most of the day yesterday outside cleaning the pool. So, today it’s just a day to relax.
It’s a short week for me at work since I’ve taken leave from Thursday to next week Tuesday. I have 7 days to use up by 30 June or forfeit the days. I used these wisely and took days off in between bank holidays and weekends to get long breaks off work.
I can’t wait! I’m tired and in need of a much needed break.
