Good morning to you all on yet another wet day, quite cool too, just 21°.
I was out early in the car checking the tyre pressures, filling up my fuel container and topping up the tank ready for the start of my trip tomorrow. I have a route through Queensland hopefully missing the floods and wrecked roads…
Spent most of yesterday, after the dog was picked up, packing the car and camper so today was just a question of turning on the fridge and loading it up with beer, milk, margarine, eggs, cheese etc.
This is where I intend to travel, the red line is my original route, the black line my revised route
The visit to Borroloola (near the Gulf of Carpinteria) is for the return trip and depending on the floods, flies and/or mossies I still have the option of returning via the Stuart Hwy (via Alice Springs and SA). Morning all – sun promised for most of the day with temperatures reaching a dizzying 18c!!

Good morning - Sunny and warm today. Just spent a pleasant half hour sitting outside looking at all the flowers springing into life. Today, it’s time for the Rhododendron flowers to start opening…
