Good Morning Sunday, 25th May 2025

Good morning dear folks from Wonderful Wollongong (am just quoting our murdered Lord Mayor Frank Arkell)

Had visitors late last night, daughter and son in law arrived from an event they attended in Sydney, this morning we went to lunch at a local Indian restaurant, They had mild to medium curries naturally I had mine as hot as the sun, the waitress said she expected exactly the opposite. Lovely meal but they have now set off for Canberra.

My Agave has flowered for the first time, apparently that means it is at the end of its life but I have lots more to replace it. it must be getting on for 30 years old. The flowers are enormous.

Am still unpacking the car and camper (takes me days) but all the laundry including the bedding was done this morning.

Have a super satisfying Sunday

Take care…

Good morning all! :sun_behind_large_cloud:

The overnight rain is clearing and the sun is starting to peek through. Grief! Your flowering plant looks like something out of a sci-fi film Bruce! :open_mouth:

We’re off to town for a quick potter this morning before paying a visit to the pub. The peanut butter crunch beer should now be on tap :peanuts::beer:

Must remember to pick up a couple of packs of Angel Delight on the way home. I certainly know how to let my hair down! Have a good one forum people! :+1:

They do have me in mind of Triffids except that they don’t move about (much) :icon_wink: .

Morning all.

Wet and overcast today here at the seaside. Not sure what I’m doing today, was supposed to be going on a shoot, but the weather has put a stop to it, at least for today. So I’ll guess I’ll just have to see what turns up and maybe go out later.

Meantime, have a great day. :+1:

Looking grey and unsettled at present …and that’s just me. The weather isn’t looking that good either.

It’s family day today, so it will get noisy at some point this afternoon. I’ll be getting a grandson to take some rubbish to the dump for me. He phoned to ask if there was anything we wanted taking there. Had a good curry with our friends last night (yum yum).

Wishing everyone a nice day.

Hi

Good Morning All.

Today is the last sunny day, rain for days afterwards. It is also cleaning day, so lots of company.

I have a lot of returns to sort out, some easier than others.

Bruce, we have a lot to learn from your Benefits System, we should just adopt it, it would certainly save a fortune locally.

Morning all – sunny start to the day but clouding over with rain forecast for later.

Had a bit of a frustrating day yesterday. Some solar garden lights I bought last week have stopped working so will have to return those.

Checked the prices for my flights to Australia, not changed, that’s the good news. Then decided that before I booked the tickets I should arrange the visa, filled in the application form online which included having to send a copy of my passport. Now as I have mentioned before I am not very technically minded – I just couldn’t work out how to do it! After an hour I think I finally worked it out by which time I had almost lost the will to live so will have another go today.

Then in the evening settled down watching a favourite DVD – went to the bathroom, flushed the loo only for something to go wrong and the water wouldn’t stop flowing into the pan. Panic phone call to my neighbour who immediately came in and managed to fix it – although he did admit he couldn’t understand what went wrong! I am now afraid to use that loo (fortunately I have two others!)

Today’s plan is a visit to the cemetery and then do battle with the visa application – wish me luck!

Take care – have a great day everyone
