Good Morning Sunday, 22nd June 2025

Morning all! Been up since 6am. Fan was too loud and if I turned it off the room was too hot!

Also I had an idea for a thread but I just wanted to run it here first.

That saucy stories thread was so funny yesterday and a great icebreaker for a lot us newbies (I personally thought) and I was thinking how about a thread called cheeky topic of the day (doesn’t have to be every day of course) where people can talk about a saucy topic, memories, stories whatever.

Nothing graphic or crude of course and I definitely don’t want to offend anyone! Just thought I’d run it by here before making it because as fellow newbie Tracy said it was refreshing to be very immature with people of the same age bracket! Or is that an awful idea?

Good morning all! :sun_with_face:

Another sunny day ahead in West Sussex although fortunately not as hot as yesterday.
I think we’re just going to potter around today, it’s what Sundays are for. I’ll probably go for a stroll around the mill pond with Chilli jnr a bit later and checkout the mega blackberry patch, just to see how things are progressing.

Saucy topics on a Sunday Janice? :open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth:
I’m shocked… please take a seat on the hard back pew, no cushions allowed.

Actually count me in! :+1:

Have a good day forum people :+1:

Good morning!
Cooler than yesterday but still dry & sunny

Up early again today
Yesterday I tidied the bedroom in the morning, and that was quite enough in the heat so I spent the afternoon dozing in my comfy chair

Today I’m going to sort through the boxes & bags I had stashed in odd corners of the bedroom to remind myself of just what i have and to see if I can get rid of anything, or at least organise stuff more neatly and into smaller packages

Good morning everyone, lovely and cool at the moment, only 22C, enjoying sitting outside before the big heat arrives later on. Summer Solstice has gone past already, and before you know it, we’ll be getting our woollies out again! I went through a period of dreading these scorching hot months but I’ve come to realize now that they become more bearable if you just stop and think for a moment, that it will all be over sooner than you think, and then we will actually miss them when temperatures drop to freezing point. Well, that’s human nature, I suppose! Hot weather is OK without the humidity, which we don’t have much of yet, but when that sets in, it becomes a suffocating type of heat 24 hours a day!
Anyway, we’re much better off up here in the hilly countryside at the moment, we have about 4 or 5 degrees less than the town-dwellers!

I’m keeping an eye on my basil, waiting to make some pesto!

Have a good Sunday everyone, keep cool.

I love Basil…and oregano!
I’ve had some success growing both indoors on a sunny windowsill. A timely reminder to pick up some seeds in town tomorrow…thank you Rose!

That basil’s growing nicely! I always try to grow some every couple of years, some years go a lot worse than others!

Yay! I was worried my suggestion would be met with horror. I’ll get thinking of a good topic now. What was your favourite of yesterday’s tales? Surely had to be the Alice In Wonderland one for me (pure Carry On, and every girl’s worst nightmare!) but your TA one was definitely up there! :face_with_hand_over_mouth::face_with_hand_over_mouth::face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Morning all – sunny but a bit cooler this morning, yesterday afternoon was almost unbearable. Makes me think I should mend my ways as I don’t think I could cope with Hell!

Leaving the supermarket yesterday there were a couple of young men handing out leaflets for a charity drive – one of them held his hand up and was asking people to “high-five” – nobody did, except me! They both cheered and it made me smile

Despite it being a day of rest I have changed the sheets and they are currently in the washing machine – with my luck as soon as I put them out we will get some rain!

Saucy stories!!! – I don’t know whether to be horrified or impressed!

Take care – have a great day everyone

Morning all on yet another hot and sweaty day…

Not sure what’s happening today, as always when you plan something it always goes to pieces. We are supposed to be packing for our cruise today (supposed to have done this ages ago), but nothing ever goes to plan. Me and Mrs G have a full calendar for the week when we were supposed to be taking everything easy so we can start our cruise without any stress or rush. That’s not going to happen.

So we are in full panic mode, matters not helping with my father-in-law and his issues with doctors and hospitals, which takes a lot of our time we don’t have.

Before the mad rush begins today, coffee and muffin time

Have a great day…

:grinning: :+1: :sunny:

Afternoon everyone… :039:
Sorry I;m a bit late but I got stuck in Janice’s saucy posts. A breath of fresh air Janice and well done, most of us blokes are secretly saucy and have good stories to tell…Even if we don’t always admit it… :009:

Went early for my Jog/walk this morning and performed better than I expected in the heat and waltzed around my five mile country course. I never have trouble sleeping in the heat because once my head hits the pillow its good night vienna for eight hours, with just a wander to the toilet now and then…
Its still warm at the moment 23 degrees C but not as warm as yesterday when it reached 32 C.
Mrs Fox’s choir has got a gig this afternoon at the local ‘Fun Day’ but not before we enjoy dinner with a small glass of red…Sounds like a good opportunity for a head down session on the sofa while it’s quiet…
The bad news is…I get to wash the pots… :009:

Oh gosh that makes me sound like a right mischief maker, I’m not - honest! Glad you enjoyed everyone’s though, what was your favourite? Loads made me chuckle but I was saying to Chilliboot I thought the Alice in Wonderland one was spectacularly saucy haha
