Good Morning Sunday, 21st December 2025

Good morning all on this steamy humid day.

I went out early for my walk before having a lovely cold shower.

Enthused by @realspeed’s slow motion videos I looked in the manual and my camcorder does slow motion so I put some horrible Coles Corned Beef in a bowl on the lawn hoping to attract some birds and set up my camera. (I was thinking Magpies)

Total failure - all the corned beef attracted was ants, the Noisy Miners hid out of sight on the Grevilleas so I sat in the heat for nothing. Not happy Jan. Will have to re think, birds didn’t even fly in for water in the bird bath, they have deserted me.

Apart from that nothing much happening today.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend before the madness of Christmas week

Take care…

Hi

Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.

The only heat issues here is that it is still cold, wet and miserable.

I was really looking forward to ending my being confined to bed since late September.

I should have known better.

The Chinese have a curse.

May you live in interesting times.

I have got that run down that I am open to other infections which my body would normally deal with.

I have an acute Kidney and UTI infection and my damaged right eye, the one with shrapnel in it and very limited vision has flared up, which it does only rarely.

It is swollen, red and weeping.

I am ashen and look like a zombie.

On the brightside, i would scare anyone who broke into the house.

My Christmas shopping is done , a turkey thigh and drumstick in the freezer, all the veg came from Lidl, they are selling the veg at a stupid 5p a time.

Everything is being done in the air fryer with a little in the microwave,

I am one of the 1.2 million here in the UK alone at Christmas.

The trick is to enjoy the special day, pamper yourself and focus on the positives.

You cannot change things, but you can still enjoy life.

Have a great day all and enjoy the festivity next week.

Hello all, Today, while I was watering the plants, I noticed a little black bird with a white belly dancing under the starfruit tree. When I moved on to water the roses, it followed me there as well.
It’s a pity I didn’t bring my phone with me, but I think it may be looking for a new place to build its nest, since my house is surrounded by so many trees. Hope you guys have a happy Sunday! Below are the orchids from my garden.

Good morning!
Unsurprisingly it was quite dark this morning; now it’s just cloudy & dull, but dry

My local Working Men’s Club is having a Christmas Fair today, so that will be an opportunity to buy something I don’t need, and have a couple of pints

Yes, I’ve heard that LIDL and other supermarkets are selling vegetables very cheaply
A couple of months ago LIDL opened a large new store on the edge of the town centre; I’ve been there a couple of times and it’s quite impressive, as supermarkets go, but I hadn’t planned on going there today as it will be very busy, so I’ll go tomorrow when it might be a bit quieter

My other job is to collate (posh word eh?) my various shopping & errand lists, jobs to do, and notes to myself into one Master To Do List in the hope that they might be done by Christmas, or at least by the end of the year ----
Not doing any of the work you understand, just making the list.

Good morning - A dry bright day with some cloud. Chilly naturally because of the time of year. I’ll be walking around the Close (Cul-de-sac) delivering the neighbours’ Christmas cards at some time today. A bit late due to circumstances but still delivered before the 25th.

We will get visited by the family this afternoon, so not exactly a quiet day but at least we can feel good for a while and push recent events aside for a while.

Sorry to read of all your problems swimfeeders and I hope you soon feel some relief from them.

That’s one part I know something of. Do you keep antibiotics to hand?

Hoping everybody has the best possible day.

Morning all…

A cold and frosty start to the day here in New York, our last full day before heading back. After a hectic day’s shopping, decided to take it a little easier and go for a wander around central park, back to Times Square and decide what to do after that.

Have a great day all…
