Good morning or good afternoon depending on where you are.

I arrived back in the 'Gong before noon but have had a very arduous day. First I got all my washing in the machine and on the line (that is not the arduous part)

Then I noticed that the gate to my garage had blown off its hinges

The hinge was on the ground.

I did a quick repair by drilling through the post and using coach bolts

I need to cut off the bolts but that can wait until tomorrow. I did a foolish thing by taking the gate off completely before I remembered I am not as strong (or as young) as I was. Rehanging the gate made a 20 minute job last two hours and I am completely buggered.

Anyway I am home.

Morning all…

A bit of a grey day here by the seaside, but at least it’s not cold.

Nothing exciting happening today, probably just mooch around the house and maybe the garden for a bit, as I have a hedge that needs a going over, but not got round to doing it. I really need a battery hedge trimmer as the one we have is huge and far too heavy to swing around for too long. Apart from my mandatory coffee and toasty sandwich (maybe), not too much going on today.
