Good morning Sunday people. Warmish winter day (19°) spent most of the morning in the garden once the night chill had gone. There are a fair few clouds about so the sun only peeps out occasionally but no sign of rain at all.
Started a new book this morning so was happy to sit out in the garden to get stuck into it. Watered my potted plants while I was out there.
Rang my son in Darwin early on, so jealous of his weather at the moment. His GF is working today - acting as a driver for the brass involved in this Talisman Sabre exercise going on in Queensland and the NT. She is normally a navy nurse.
Middle son on HMAS Choules is undoubtedly in the thick of it off the Queensland coast in the Coral Sea.
Apart from that I am taking this “day of rest” thing very literally.
I’m relieved to say that Chilli jnr got back from Glasgow yesterday after his short holiday with Family. Despite the grim weather conditions ultimately the trains seemed to be running more efficiently than usual. You couldn’t make it up!
Over seven quid for a pint of Guinness at the bar at Euston overlooking the arrivals board. More fool me!
We might just dodge the showers today and check out our favourite wild blackberry patch on the millpond. Goodness knows what the erratic weather conditions have done to this year’s crop…we shall see!
If the photo is on your computer, the simplest way is to have the photo in Windows explorer, open a message then drag and drop the photo into the message. It really is very simple. From memory you can select and drag and drop up to five photos at once.
You can resize the photo beforehand but that is not necessary.
If it is on another site, right click on the photo, select “copy image link” then Ctrl V in the message.
@swimfeeders when you post a message, at the bottom the icons should read from left to right: reply, a trash can icon, then on the right hand side an image of a photo frame and then an image of a computer screen. Click the photo frame image!
Happy Sunday everybody. Got woken up by construction work (on a Sunday! To be fair it is my neighbour rebuilding his shed) so I’m up and about early.
@Tracyhello, thank you for your…wonderfully enlightening biology lesson on the saucy stories thread. I think you’re going to be very popular with the chaps on here today!
@swimfeeders I’m a tech dinosaur so I’m likely not the best person to ask!
It was supposed to be a thunder storm yesterday which didn’t materialise. But it certainly looks like one today, being bleak and overcast down here in southern Hampshire.
Not sure what’s happening today, could be sat here at home on my PC, depends on what Mrs G has in mind. Whatever, the day doesn’t start until I’ve had my coffee and biscuits. May go out for a fry-up breakfast later.
Good Morning from Foxy’s World…
Very muggy and warm on this mornings five miler but still managed to insert a few fast’ish reps…
Not many people about just a few runners that I couldn’t catch…
I just realised that because my days are generally the same, the weather is the only thing that changes each day…So that explains why I normally refer to the weather…
Of course, there’s the odd outing to the seaside… @swimfeeders what do you mainly post on? A laptop or a phone?
Good morning everyone, I won’t bore you saying continously that it’s extremely hot here, 35C now and still rising, well, I’ve just said it really.
I went down to see how my plum trees are doing, not bad, not completely ripe yet, they only ripen on the trees, so I have to wait a few more days. I just hope the wind won’t knock them all off before I manage to pick them.
Sorry to hear that you have had to go to resus Swim, I hope you are soon back home.
I agree with you, I do almost all of my posting on my laptop, I just use the phone while away from home, like holidays and hospital.
I’ve made a file on the ‘desktop’ called ‘send’ and copy and paste all the photos I want to post on the forum so I don’t have to keep looking all over my laptop for the photo.
If you right click on the ‘desktop’ you will get a menu that contains ‘New’ left click on ‘New’ and another menu opens up…Click on the top item that says ‘folder’ and it will put a new folder on your desktop…rename it to ‘send’ and put all your photos into it that you want to post on the forum. Once you’ve located it from the little picture on top of the editing box, it will always look there first when selecting a photo.
Any problems swim just give me a nudge…
