Good Morning Sunday, 18th May 2025

Good morning all you folks on this day of rest.

I am in Cloncurry a small mining town in Queensland’s central west. The night time temperatures are definitely cooler got down to 11° last night, daytime is fine in the mid 20s

There is a massive windmill in this town, I took a pic earlier but with my camera so it is not yet on my computer, might post it later. I aso drove down to Chinaman’s Creek Dam, every town seems to have Chinaman’s Creek, I suppose dates back to the days before the White Australia policy when a majority of gold miners were from China.

Chinaman’s Creeks seem to be as common as One Mile and Two Mile Creeks in QLD.

Have been battling a southerly wind all day which has cruelled my fuel economy.

Anyway enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Take care

Morning all – yes another sunny day (I could get used to this)

Visit to the hairdresser yesterday was not good. The cut was fine but she did very little to style it and by the time I got to the car my hair was flat and looked terrible. I also wasn’t happy with the colour she was trying to persuade me to have – think I will need to go back to my previous hairdresser

I had planned to go shopping after but instead I drove home hoping I wouldn’t see anyone I know, of course I pulled onto my drive and 3 of my neighbours were in their front gardens!! One of them was complaining about an event taking place in a nearby park – we could hear the music even though it is a 10 minute walk away (well 10 minutes for me!) He wanted us to join in with a complaint he was planning to make and even mentioned starting a petition to get the events banned! The music did stop around 11.00pm on Friday night (and last night). I pointed out this only happens 2 or 3 times a year so really it isn’t too much to complain about. Fortunately the other 2 neighbours agreed with me

As today is Sunday treated myself to a full English breakfast! Later I need to do some ironing, although sitting in the garden reading a book is a bit more inviting!

Take care – have a great day

Another sunny day. The hosepipe ban is coming I expect. It’s the day for the family visiting and that usually means a noisy afternoon. Enjoying the peace and solitude this morning.

Have a good day everyone

Good morning all! :sun_with_face:

I’ve just been doing some laundry and washing up on this mellow Sunday. Next thing on the list is to pack up a little box of various doggy treats and take them over the road to the post office within the convenience shop.

I have a friend who lives right out in the sticks in rural North Wales. She has two lovely Bernese Mountain dogs and one of them has a birthday this coming week :birthday::tada::dog:

Have a laid back Sunday forum people :v::blossom:

Morning all on a bright sunny Sunday.

Just come back from my daily walk and trying to decide what to do today. Maybe go for a walk somewhere or do something else on this nice day. At the moment, I’m waiting to go out to my local coffee shop and a spot of breakfast and decide what to do later. Tempted to go for a walk along a boating marina and maybe take a pic or two.

Have a great day all.

Hi

Good Morning All.

I really enjoy reading about your adventures Bruce and then looking up the places on the Internet.

Weather here is dry and sunny, temps still cold at night and a very pleasant 22c forecast later.

My daily battle against the evil that is modern technology is in full swing.

This time it is the WiFi Wavemaker, it is on a Random Flow program at the maximum setting, you could surf in there and I can’t turn it off.

I’m waiting for Shiv and his 13 year old daughter to come and sort it.

To make life more interesting my good leg has frozen , so I am stuck on the bed.

Have a good day all,

The Chicken and ham pie was very tasty yesterday and was accompanied by plenty of locally sourced vegetables…After a brief look round the garden centre I drove into Bridlington and did a slow pass of the sea front. A bit cold and blustery and packed to the rafters with holidaymakers. I think there might have been something happening because every square metre of space had a vehicle parked on it, some were even parked on double yellow’s… :009:

As I left the town centre and proceeded through the South side we left the crowds behind and I was able to park up and get a couple of shots for you lovely people on the forum. Being on the forum over the years has made these excursions more interesting, while providing pictures and descriptions.
Everything has gone to plan so far on this Sunday morning, with a brisk walk around my long 5 mile route…I even figured out out to post a fancy good morning like Mart…
