Good Morning Sunday, 18th January 2026

Good morning forum folks.

It has been wet, yesterday I received 90mm of rain, like everything in Australia things go from the sublime to the ridiculous. The rain band has moved further north with flash flooding in Sydney this morning, caravan parks evacuated, ABC emergency broadcasts interrupting broadcasts every hour or so.

Heatwave one week, flooding the next. No problems where I am other than soggy ground. It is still raining on and off.

Looks like another day spent at home, though I am looking forward to coffee and cake meeting tomorrow.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend. I expect your weather is better.

Take care…

Hi

Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.

Milder but wetter today, a week of rain forecast.

I will have company today, Shiv and his daughter coming to wash the carpets and do a deep clean.

I have more paperwork to do, a thing I detest.

Have a good day all and stay safe.

A soggy South Yorkshire here too, but managed to get my early walk/jog done and return home reasonably dry. Bare legs and a good waterproof raincoat did the trick, shoes are still drying out though.
What with Mrs Fox’s dentist appointments and daughters car off the road Bob’s Taxi service has a lot of work this week…Looking forward to the masters snooker final later, and well done to old guy Higgins, but he’ll have his work cut out to beat Karen Wilson…
I know it’s ‘Kyron’… Who call’s their kid ‘Kyron’?
