A really horrible day here, freezing rain is making the ground treacherous to walk on.
I have just been across the field with Pippin , I need to take her out whatever the weather to get rid of some of her energy or she is a pain. It is safe walking on the grass and my trusty walking pole is like having an extra leg and gives me stability.
I am going to prepare lunch now then have an easy day.
Stay safe…
The temperature is gradually climbing, the cold snap is over. I was relieved to discover that my foot was no longer swollen and purple and I can actually walk!
I’m going to catch up on some much needed house work before indulging in some delectable snacks with my son during the football
Morning. After a particularly blue start (as expected), life goes on. Gotta drop my daughter off at work, go and change a broken loo seat at one of my rental flats and then mill around the Trafford Centre for an hour or so, trying to find inspiration to buy Mys Dex a prezzie. Every year we promise not to buy prezzies for each other, but every year we do, just in case.
MIL is coming round for tea, so I guess I’ll have to put on the facade of feeling OK.
And morning from all. Good that you are posting, swimmy!
It’s cold with a sour wind - I don’t think Ozzie cared for it. The weather says it is snowing now but not where we are.
Good morning all, pouring with rain here and still very cold.
All prepared for Christmas, then I had a call from my daughter yesterday to say my SIL had a phone call from his Consultant to say the results of his latest MRI showed the tumour in his head is growing again and he has to go for Radiotherapy in January/February. I feel so sad for them as they have both had worrying health problems over the past 4 years.
I’ll be making more mince pies to take over to them tomorrow.
Gift shopping for family is done - just my daughter’s gift remaining.
I’m finally feeling festive so I’m spending my afternoon putting up the Christmas decor by myself since my son is out with friends to watch the final soccer match later.
Christmas carols on, glass of wine and tackling the Christmas tree - wish me luck!
