Good Morning Sunday, 16th February 2025

Good morning everybody - it is quite cool today, on my walk this morning there was definitely an Autumnal chill in the air, only going to get up to 23° today.

After my walk got the washing machine going to ensure I have clean clothes at the end of the week. There is a good breeze so it is nearly dry in spite of the cooler weather.

Most of the morning has been spent loading up the car and camper with the goodies necessary for a few days away. I am not sure if I will visit the servo to check the tyres or wait until tomorrow but basically I am packed. I don’t leave until Tuesday but will be busy tomorrow hence getting it done today.

Daughter and son in law are off to Japan this arvo for their skiing holiday, I hadn’t realised it but it turns out they are travelling in a group of eight friends - parts of the group will come and go as they do their own things during the trip. Oh, to be young again!

Anyway enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Take care…

Morning all – won’t say much about the weather but apparently we may see some sunshine this afternoon – I’ll believe that when it happens!

You seem very organised Bruce – I admire your adventurous spirit! I hate driving, consider it a necessary evil, so would never take on the sort of journeys you do. Hope your daughter and son-in-law enjoy Japan. We did a lot of travelling when we were younger and had a lot of adventures - I would always encourage young people to travel, make happy memories.

Apologies for yesterday’s whinge-fest (I have left the cupboard and am back facing the world again). My emails are now working – apparently it was a fault at the provider, not my laptop.

Indulged myself last night – pizza and a large glass of wine for dinner, opened a box of chocolates and binge watched my favourite programme!!

Not much planned for today – will take the day as it comes

Take care and have a lovely day

Good fine morning from the house rehab of Florida!

A storm front went through in the middle of the night rocking the house and knocking potted plants over hither and yon. Two of the dogs are terrified of storms so they were curled up next to me trembling for a good two hours. Who needs sleep, anyway, right?

@Sheila, I didn’t think you came across unhappy at all in your post, but it’s good to know your email problem has been resolved. My computer has its own personality and will, so I understand the frustration. Nice way to treat yourself last night!

@Bruce, I am excited for your next adventure, and agree with you in being all for twenties and thirties getting out there to explore and recreate. I hope there’s plenty of powder for their skiing adventure.

With the winds blowing a blue streak behind this cold front , I am postponing my run until later in the day, so in the meantime, I’m taking a break from the trim work and spending the day with my spreadsheet “To Do” items and am listening to Rutheford’s China. I thoroughly enjoyed Sarum and London, so I thought I’d try listening to one of his tomes instead of reading a hard copy. I also have a belated Valentine’s butterscotch meringue pie to whip up, so that effort will keep me out of trouble for a while.

I hope you all have a very nice Sunday!

I am only organised because I have lists that I print out for my different types of trips. I like lists.

They flew out last night. I have no idea what they need for good snowboarding, I avoid the snow or indeed anything below 10° :icon_wink:

Having said that Jindabyne is in the Snowy Mountains so night time temperatures can get pretty low into single figures. (it won’t snow though) :icon_wink:
