Good morning one and all on another lovely warm summer’s day. Still a bit too humid though, so unusual at this time of year but nothing I can do about that
My daughter had a great time yesterday and spent the late afternoon cleaning her car before we went to the club and had dinner with her parents in law. We both ended up choosing the same meal a Porterhouse steak though I had chips and told them to forget the salad, whereas my daughter had vegies and salad. The steak was really tender, we asked for medium rare and got medium rare, perfect. She had cocktails, I stuck to beer.
This morning she is helping with the four wheel drive club’s sausage sizzle at Bunnings but is coming back to see me before she sets off for Canberra later.
Because it is a warm day (28°) decided to get the sheets and doona cover on her bed washed now she has finished with it. Got all the beds in the other spare room sorted yesterday so I am ahead of the Christmas game.
Even spent a bit of time working on some batch files (I am very fond of batch files).
Morning all – back to grey for the weather today! I envy you your warm weather Bruce!
Finished my Christmas shopping yesterday, only to find I am one gift bag short! Will put cards in the post box later ready to be collected at 9.00 tomorrow morning.
Laundry done yesterday so will be ironing today, also give the guest bedroom and bathroom a bit of a clean ready for my visitors on Tuesday, so not a very exciting day in store for me!
Good morning - Overcast but not too dull in the mid-south of England. The temperature at 10.30 A.M. is 11ºC. Being Sunday, not much is happening but I expect 4 or 5 of the family will be here later.
Good Morning from Foxy’s gaff…
Mrs Fox is just tuning up in the bathroom ready for her debut with the Barnby Dun Ladies choir who will be performing songs from ‘7 brides for seven brothers’ later in the afternoon…(only joking, I think they are doing carols) …
Weather will do just fine at 11 degrees C and getting up to 12 degrees C by the time I returned from my 3.5 mile walk and jog around the picturesque Sheffield and Keadby canal…
Six of us present at last night festive tea that Mrs Fox had kindly prepared (a selection of cheese and ham sandwiches) for our daughter and hubby, and granddaughter and partner who were united at the university of Newcastle upon Tyne. That is apparently the main purpose of a university these days…A rather expensive place to find love. That’s the second of my granddaughters to come away with a degree in arts and crafts or philosophy or something and a partner for life…
Nice to be altogether though, but nicer when they all went home…
The flag raising ceremony went without a hitch…
Unfortunately I was the only one in attendance…
Must dash now, I have to get the motor out the garage and open the gates because daughter and hubby thought the walk to the church was a bit excessive on a Sunday afternoon…Well it is a kilometer away…
