Good morning to all on another sunny winter’s day, It was 22° on my back patio yesterday which was very pleasant.
Sunday morning and I was out at 7am to get milk , fruit and a few bits and pieces from Coles. Happy that the slightly warmer mornings mean I can get up about 6.30am just before sunrise. I hate wasting the morning, these days are a far cry from many decades ago when I worked in the theatre and TV, then I would be going to bed at that hour. Oh, the joy of youth, where did it go?
Anyway once the day warmed up I was back to giving my bits of wood another coat of varnish before I set to on trimming the hedge - though in truth they are more like trees now. It is amazing how much you can fit in the green waste bin if you cut it small enough.
Will probably spend the arvo sitting in the garden reading, though if the truth be told I am not particularly fond of the book I have just started but will try to plough on, if I give up I have plenty of others in wait.
That’s about my weekend done and dusted, have a good one yourself.
Thankfully getting cooler, it will be good to be more comfortable today, the heat feels different here in the UK, all to do with the humidity levels.
A slow clean up this morning, the house is looking untidy after being stuck in my bed for hours, an afternoon watching the ladies football recordings on TV.
Gooooooood morning everybody. Out bright and early on a dog walk, headphones on and listening to Bach. The grass smells amazing after a night of rain.
Shall we have a now traditional saucy Sunday? I believe @Tracyhello you were about to offer us girls some salacious tips, following your rather steamy tale…
Thank goodness this is going to be the end of the current heat wave!
As ever a trad Sunday for us. I’ve got plenty of plants to divide, pot on and I’ll be sowing a few late seeds.
We need to indulge in a little hocus pocus today…
This empty rucksack needs to be magically transformed into a full rucksack by this evening!
Also very funny that we’re all sitting ready like obedient schoolchildren for Tracy’s enlightening class! We’re sitting up and listening very intently, Miss!
(Just to check is your hubby definitely ok with all of us discussing this?)
Morning all – hot and sunny again today temperatures forecast to reach 30c
Another sleepless night – partly because of the heat but also a neighbour has a faulty alarm which kept going off throughout the night!! I hope they get it fixed otherwise I will not be responsible for my actions!
The previously unknown happened yesterday – I washed, dried, ironed and put away the laundry all on the same day!! Where do I apply for my award?
I think it is time we had some rain so I am going to put up my garden umbrella (haven’t put it up before as it has been too hot to sit outside). This always guarantees rain and sometimes hurricane force winds! Your welcome!
Sunday being a day of rest I plan to do very little – I am expecting a new book to be delivered, hopefully in time for me to settle down with it this afternoon
our kitchen kettle has just gone to pot!!! It decided not to auto turn off so Sue is getting another this afternoon. This is the second Russell hobbs that only lasts for a couple of years, I suspect it has a built in working life span a he other only lasted about the same amount of time.
