My original post has been waiting for approval for 3 hours so I will just say hope everyone has a good day and hope this one makes it through!
Hearty fare!
A fishy finger baguette sarnie with tomato ketchup, white pepper, Maldon salt and a dash of Sarsons malt vinegar
The lid is just about to go on, pollack by the way…
Morning all – a bit overcast this morning although not cold so there’s that!
Planned to get up at my usual time of 7.30 but then decided I was too comfortable and finally managed to drag myself out of bed at 8.30!! Only just finished breakfast and now on my 3rd cup of coffee!
Sitting in the garden yesterday I noticed what I thought were lights in a tree which borders a lane behind the house – turns out it was a plastic bag caught in the branches which was reflecting the sun, (no I didn’t climb the tree to retrieve it!) Actually it looked very pretty!
Plan for today is to do the ironing I didn’t get around to yesterday a bit of light housework and then back to the new book. Not as good as previous books by the same writer, but I will persevere in the hope it improves (although as I am almost halfway through it not sure that is going to happen).
Take care – have a great day
Anyone any idea why this post took 6 hours to approve?
Hi Foxy,
Reading your posts I’ve discovered it was angina problems that has stopped you from running. Now you’ve traded your runnng for power walking. Good for you…
Good Sunday to all !
We went for our normal daily walk then came back for my tuna salad…solid white tuna on freshly made salad.
Are you a new member here?
No - I have been a member for 2 years. I would like to know what was in my post to trigger it needing to be “approved”
Just be reassured that at the moment, the Bot still needs final Human approval, but, Humans aren’t so on the ball and motivated as the bot, hence the delay, this is a necessary annoyance, immediate approval comes at a cost
That doesn’t explain what in my post triggered the need for “approval”
In most cases (from personal experience), it could be just one word, taken out of context. If this happens, it’s probably better to delete the post, than hang about for said approval, that might only exaggerate the Bots feeling of self importance
There was nothing in my post which I haven’t posted before, without the need for “approval”
Yes I think so Sheila…I was describing the edges around the lawn which we call B…ders
and my post went for approval.
Look to your post where you mentioned…“in a tree that ******** a lane behind”
I think that might be the offending word.
If it happens again, copy your post and re-edit it changing the word and it should be okay…
I’ve had a couple of heart attacks Chelsea. The first one was in 2004 and continued running half marathons. But following my second Heart attack in 2014 my family all decided that I should stop running competitively. I still continued to run locally just for enjoyment, distances up to ten miles. But by the time I reached 71 in 2021 I knew there was something wrong and sought professional advice. After some tests it was revealed that the scar tissue from previous heart attacks was interfering with my hearts electrics whereby I was fitted with a pacemaker/defibrillator and that spelt the end.
I had another heart attack in 2024 (there’s a pattern emerging here 2004 - 2014 - 2024?)
Apparently the 2024 heart attack was ‘Ischaemic’ so not actually a blockage.
Quote AI…
Ischemia is a less-than-normal amount of blood flow to part of your body . This lack of blood flow means your tissues aren’t getting the oxygen they need. This can happen in various organs, like your heart and brain. Ischemia can lead to life-threatening conditions like heart attacks and strokes.
However…
I walk most days and still run when nobody is looking…
started on the front drive and got about half cleaned in about 3 hrs. time took getting the small weeds out from between the brick block paving. At least easier than using a wire brush tool for the job
got this far today
will have to go overf it again wikth the karcher T5 racer then sand with silver sand. so a lot more to do syilli
our telephone could receive calls but not make them. Seems the company Community Services are using a new server and the old company Box Broadband installed equipment in all the houses in Bexhill on an old server.
so the engineers are rushing about putting upgade units in all the houses that had box broadband.
Wow foxy! Three heart attacks ten years apart ?
That’s serious stuff. Why would running be bad for it? Is it cause it causes the heart to beat faster?
I’m glad you are still getting out every day.
Do you still get ‘runners high’ from fast walkin?
Thanks Chelsea…
There’s not enough oxygen being transported to my muscles, so I’m in oxygen debt just minutes after starting to run now.
I can still walk though and get my fix of nature, and mobility is everything…
That’s good Foxy,
My husband and I walk together everyday…We have 2 small dogs that need walking daily. I feel blessed and grateful that I can walk everyday.
Have a good one.
So you should be
What’s THAT supposed to mean?
The ability to walk is often taken for granted, by and large.
