Good morning from the churning gulf of Florida!
Rafael is still sending us powerful surf, which are what surfers commonly call “Victory at Sea” - giant frothing messy waves that are too disorganized to surf. Oh well, it is is a pleasure just to watch.
It’s such a pleasure to travel abroad! Thanks for the photos, Bruce. Why is it that the ordinary scenery is so often the most interesting? That shot of the cirrus undulatus is beautiful, but it would make for some very nasty turbulance if flying near it. I would think that these photos culd be taken most anywhere in the US, but there are subtle differences in your roof materials and the tree species (not so many eucalyptus east of California.
What kind of dog do you have?
As for the Roundup, as much as it makes life easy, I don’t use it in my yard because the gutters drain directly into the water, which impacts the cyanobacteria, plankton, and fish larvae, so I abstain in favor of yanking weeds by hand and smoothering them with sheeting or pavers. I hope the wildlife send me a thank you note sometime .
I recognized him! I am pretty sure I’ve taken a few very long flights with the guy on the right any number of times.
How nice! So good for the sould .
I am jealous! I have a pile that keeps growing because reading seems like such a guilty pleasure these days.

I’m tutoruing my daughter today on the intricacies of the somatic nervous system for a kinesiology exam she has first thing in the morning, so I’m deep-diving on that today, having forgotten so much more than I’ll ever be able to get back. Still, this study puts in a state of wonder that our bodies are such miracles of existence; this kind of study and being outdoors are my favorite church services.
