Good Morning - Saturday 9th October

Good morning everyone :slightly_smiling_face: cloudy but mild here.

I am going to start the mincemeat today, I have washed the dried fruit and it is drying on trays . I also have to chat by email to my 2 grandchildren who are isolating in their rooms with C19.

Then into the garden to do some tidying.

I have my booster vaccination booked for Thursday and am very apprehensive about having it after being ill last time . I am going to make some soup for the freezer in case I feel to ill to cook. My family have their hands full with two isolating children and it could be more by Thursday so I won’t be asking them for help.

Enjoy your day :grinning:

Good morning all :slightly_smiling_face: the sun is shining, the temperature is comfortable and I feel good!

I hope to get out and potter in the garden today, I still have a few bulbs and pansies to be planted.

Enjoy your day folks :grinning:

I do love the cheery pictures you add to your posts, Minx, they give a good start to the day.

I know Meg is very independent, but we all need help sometimes so I thought your offer was very kind, should she need it. Now we have got Mags better I don’t want to start worrying about Meg!

Been out with the four legged one and from a distance due to this devil of a cold I have saw my sister she was birdwatching (I know how did I get a younger sister with a hobby like that) well she saw me she had the binoculars it was about 6.15 this morning and by the time she worked her way round to me it was 7.30am Gert could not believe her luck and spent a good 40 minutes then running across the 1/2 mile track between us…luckily she choose to stick with me to come home with but think I was in a close run race for her heart. LOL

Home and then popped to pick up a small C&C shopping from Asda orange juice and some fruit, oh and a tub of Mackie Ice-cream. (if you have never tried I highly recommended) did not want to pass this cold onto anyone so C&C and wore gloves and wiped down as well. I know its a cold/virus but it is a b*gger.

Back home and a cup of coffee and not hungry but a bit of toast and marmite eaten. Done some dusting in the living room and need to vacuum the stairs/landing but maybe later or tomorrow I feel like I could but do I want to…

Dog on her bed but considering going out I think as she has left a carrot outside, I think I will spend this day catching up with some easy watch Sky+ and maybe browsing Amazon.

Have a good day all

Have Brandy to add to the mix, currents and sultanas, as I only had Raisins left, now no more shredded suet, but should imagine there must be a way around that… and see If I can get candid peel. Think I over done the spices…but will see how that settles … :innocent:

p.s. that weighs just under a Kilo or 2lbs ish

Hi

A very bad night for me, nice neighbour came round early,

Old sofa chainsawed and taken to the recycling.

Internal doors removed ready for new sofa next Tuesday.

Two large brugmansia moved into the conservatory.

Two high security hasps and locks fitted to the big shed, fishing stuff moved out and more stuff in the shed sorted and fishing stuff moved back in.

A lot done and I am very tired.

@Kazz aw Kazz :slightly_smiling_face: that is kind…
I have a pact with my neighbour Wendy , I will bang on the wall if I need help and she will do the same so I am not alone :slightly_smiling_face:.
Wendy was ill too when she had her vaccination so neither of us are looking forward to having the booster. She is having hers on Tuesday.

That’s excellent Meg and with your own soup and feeling better in general than you have of late have to be ticks over. Hope you and Wendy both get on great guns.
