Good dreary (but exciting) morning from Florida!

The surf was well up yesterday, died down around sunset, but is churning up again this morning. The kids put me to shame, but I had plenty of fun catching a few waves and paddling like a fiend. Today I am paying for it having to catch up with all the things abandoned yesterday, but it was worth memories made (even getting smacked around by the waves :laughing):

Nice peelers:

And Saturday again - and more bloody fireworks

I can absolutely empathise with that, getting down on my knees is not too bad but getting up again is a whole different matter. When I am under the car or camper I sometimes just lie there for 5 minutes knowing that getting out and up is going to be an effort

BTW I haven’t been in my attic for decades.

What a lovely photo. I rarely go near the sea these days even though I only live a little way away (and I never liked sand). If I do go I spend all my time looking for Pippis

The fireworks usually start sometime in September and go right through until December LF.
It makes you realise what such a popular bloke Guy Fawkes was. And with the present government some are hoping for a reincarnation

Sorry Bes, but in my younger day bommy night was something very special that every child looked forward to, and I only knew one family who had a dog. Food was much too scarce to feed an extra mouth

I don’t know anyone who hasn’t got at least two dogs now
We live next to a green with trees where my daughter and her friends used to play
Nobody dare leave the path nowadays

<<< Had some Kids knocking the door. “So wats up sunshine” ?
“Were collecting to buy some ‘Bangers’ for Guy FORKS”.
So gave em. >> A half chewed ‘Chipolata’.
 All the way to >> !!!

Fairy nuff, GF. My own children had fireworks - just sparklers. Now, we have huge explosives night after night after night

And yet more fire works - a decade at least
