Good morning one and all on this warm, sunny, spring Saturday. Temperature in the high 20s later.
In a burst of unwarranted enthusiasm I decided to change the line on my Hills Hoist. It has needed doing for over a year but I have been hoping that it would fail so giving me a reason to change it. Alas, it just hung in there despite looking decidedly furry.
As I removed the line discovered that the end caps are cracked so I have emailed Hills to see if they still stock them otherwise it might just be superglue and hope. The hoist is well over 30 years old though the line is probably only just over a decade old ( remember changing it when the kids still lived here.
Had a covid prevention jab a couple of days ago, it takes a couple of days from the pain to go where the needle went in. At least should be protected now for the next 6 months or so. Bright sunny morning here at the moment so cant complain seeing the time of year,
Good morning - Medical matters dominate but at least I’ve got some bacon toasties to look forward to. A bit of brightness can be found in every cloud. Talking of which, it’s a nice bright morning here.
Good morning!
Cloudy & dull, but dry and not too cold
I went shopping at the Community Shop yesterday, and I had recently bought a fruit & veg bargain box at LIDL, so this morning I’m sorting, picking, and planning, which will probably result in loads of veg, stew
Hopefully this afternoon I can continue with the fireside bellows
Nice and bright sunny day here on the southern Hampshire coast.
Not sure what’s happening today. Would like to get out with my camera for once, but I’m not sure what the wife wants to do - will probably involve either housework or shopping.
May go up for a coffee later, accompanied with a sausage sandwich, with a fair chance of having a bacon one instead. Beyond that, not really much I can add.
With my brain refusing to go along with the end of Daylight Savings Time, I was up early to knock out a run, and with time seemingly left over, I took treated the car for a fancy car wash.
I usually take care of it at home since the price of washing a car has gone up the same way coffee has in the last ten years, so I was amazed by how far the services and equipment have improved Just look at what I found in the vacuum bay!
There’s a wide nozzle vacuum, a long angled crevice nozzle…and best of all, and a compressed air nozzle to blow out dust and debris impossible places like the a/c vents and cracks between the seats and the console. You all may have all of these, but it was all new to me. Both the Oddity and I are tickled pink!
It’s Saturday, so after a long week of staring at the computer screen, I am off to do - something today.
