That might be so but roo meat is always available in the supermarket, hearts are not, they usually end up as dog food.
Not in the mood for roo or lambs hearts. just coffee and porridge.

Morning all – heavy rain overnight, more rain this morning and thunder forecast for later – don’t you just love UK in summer!
When I was growing up offal was cheap and a mainstay as we didn’t have a lot of money – now can’t bear to look at it never mind eat it! 
However, each to their own Bruce, enjoy
Hope all goes well d00d – my previous doctor used to do so many blood tests I could swear they had a vampire living in the basement 
The good news is that my friendly motor mechanic checked my car – apparently a sensor has gone and he is ordering a new part but he has assured me I can continue to drive without causing any damage
When he called in to look at the car his wife came with him, armed with flowers and wine as a thank you for looking after the beast! Keep telling them it isn’t necessary as I love the little monster!

Good morning everyone on this miserably wet Saturday. My late mother in law used to cook stuffed hearts many years ago, I think I liked them but haven’t had any since - perhaps I should try them again at some point to see whether I really did like them or was just being polite. Hope you enjoy yours Bruce.
Glad your mechanic was able to put your mind at rest Sheila - it sounds as if he will soon sort it out for you.

I don’t have much to report today, I have nothing planned apart from walking the dog followed by housework, which I dislike with a vengeance (housework that is, not the dog!).

Good Morning From Foxy’s World… 
Rest day today just an early morning visit to Tesco for the fresh stuff, however, going to a garden centre for lunch and there is a fruit and veg stall that sells locally sourced produce and it tastes much better than the Tesco stuff…My apples from Tesco came from Chile… 
Interesting to read about your motor Sheila, why do they have to bugger everything up by adding a computer? My smart telly (which is not smart and not connected to the internet) has a life of it’s own instead of just receiving instructions from me…

Nice and sunny here at the moment but thunder and lightning forecast for later. Paul Hudson (our local BBC weather man) said that due to global warming this summer would be exceptionally hot…I’m still waiting to book my holidays…Paul! Paul! ???
Seeing as we are all mature on the forum (or should be) and we’ve lived through a few winters and summers, apart from the odd hot summer and extreme winters can anyone actually say that they have seen any difference to the weather?
Sat here in my underwear after my shower, so it’s time to put some clothes on ready to go out for some lunch…Walkers Garden Centre take a very dim view of diners turning up inadequately dressed…

Good morning/afternoon (we’re one hour ahead), on a beautiful warm, sunny day, bright blue sky, 30C, no humidity, so it’s bearable.
Just been to our market in town to get some Summery stuff, it’s amazing how the quality of clothes in market stalls is often higher than it is in our local chain stores. You get better goods at a cheaper price

Back home, all done, an armful of blood donated (and the poured down the drain). I have too much of the stuff, too much haematocrit, too many blood cells and platelets. I take a daily capsule to deal with it but also need the occasional venesection.
Foul weather, turned my brolly inside out, think I’ll watch some A Place in the Sun or something to right the balance.

Glad to hear you received the sunshine, our meteorologists always get it wrong, too. Only when the weather is stable like now, they get it right, well we can predict on our own, don’t need them 
Reminds me of Michael Fish way back in the 80s when in front of millions of spectators declared that there was no chance of a hurricane, that was the evening before the 1987 Great Storm, we had it really bad in London, I don’t remember how other areas of England were affected.

My hearts done in the air fryer were a gastronomical triumph, I even threw in a couple of bits of bacon (the bacon was a bit over cooked if I am honest)
Actually he was quite right it is impossible for the UK to experience a hurricane, that is not to say you can’t have bad storms but cyclones can only occur between something like 5° and 30° north or south of the equator and a water temperature above 26°C. For example NSW gets East Coast Lows which are very severe storms but they are not cyclones because we are too far south. Think of the 1998 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race when six died and about as many boats sank.

asked next door if i could cut down some of the overhanging branches from their tree. Didn’t have to ask but it is always nice to be polite and ask first. So Sue and I have spent most of the morning until nearly 2pm cutting down and chopping up tree branches up to 3 +inches in size and all the twigs on them. WE is knackered now. so glad got that little hand chain saw, exhausted 2 x24v batteries doing it, so now both back on charge

It wasn’t classified officially as a hurricane, although at certain moments during the storm, hurricane force gusts of up to 100mph were registered in certain areas of the country.

That’s quite a story! This happened in our most recent major hurricane when some people actually came here to avoid the path of the hurricane that turned and ended up right on top of us. We weren’t supposed to have any effects from Beryl, but we may yet have some of the bands upon us in the next couple of days.
@Sheila, I am relieved for you that your car problem was just a sensor. Like @OGF and his television, over-engineering is a double-edges sword. My mother and I, married to men who were most literally never home, used to joke that cars and appliances have sensors that cause them to break down or kick off warnings of all sorts whenever they left town. Convince me otherwise

@dood, I am certainly glad that that your treatment is a easy as an occasional oil change. It’s still no fun; so I’m glad that’s done for the day. I was interested in reading about the Tower House. I like it when people who have made large chunks of money hone their interests - and investment - in arts and architecture. I just happened to read about Herb Alpert, the musician and founder of A&M records, who has donated tens of millions of dollars in art and music education for kids.
The official lazy hour is over, so I am off to look at building lots for “The Eventual Home for the Aged and Infirm” The idea of giving up this house feels sad, but I feel like I still have the reins by getting out in front of it while I still have half a brain!
Offal, venesection (which like OGF I first read as vivisection), leeches, and lambs…@OGF would you mind sending the directions to the produce stand? Suddenly I have a massive craving for a giant leafy green salad…

G’day … I’ve been lucky I guess. Had this problem for about 15 years, no side effect to the Chemo drug. Had lots of venesections at first, now it’s about once every 6 months. I said millions earlier: a slight exaggeration!
I’m making tuna from a tin, onion garlic mushrooms and pasta. Nothing that bleeds.

Tuna is nice, I occasionally buy a steak from the fish market. What is nice about tuna is that the bone neatly divides it into four pieces so you get four steaks/meals out of it. great on the BBQ.
