Got my grocery order delivery yesterday. Watched the delivery person on my computer drive past my place and double back. That didn’t inspire confidence. Then I heard a bunch of noise outside but nothing at my door. I thought she might be delivering to my neighbor so I went to check.
It turns out that they drive a huge van. I’m thinking they have a refrigerated and frozen section. She was getting the stuff from the van, putting it on a cart, getting ready to drop it at my door.
On quick glance, it looks good.
Today I’m wondering if my neighbor will be back to being a jerk if he’s returning from travels. I’ll have to wait and see.
Butter, my friend up the road messaged me yesterday to tell me my NfH had posted on their FB that they will be getting a Dalmatian pup at the end of this month. I said, oh, something else for them to spend their hard earned money on! (Yes I was being sarcastic as they are both on benefits and drive a year old car). They have four girls between them, from age 13 downwards, and one other dog, so I’m wondering how that poor pup will cope. And what about in the summer, when music is blaring from the house and garden? I know she had two dogs before one was PTS not long ago but wonder if the house is big enough for all of them. I joked with neighbour ‘is this in lieu of a human baby?’ There was talk of him trying to reverse a vasectomy and then trying for a baby.
When my neighbors are blasting music from their house, I think they throw their dog outside because that’s when I hear it barking. It doesn’t bark at other times.
I heard second hand that one of my long gone neighbors killed their dog by leaving it in the car in the sun. Happily those neighbors are gone. They didn’t treat their children much better. Once I thought the trash truck was going to run the children over. Luckily for them, the driver was aware and kind enough to look after them.
I have hobbies, but as it’s such a nice day it would be a shame to stay in and I think I’ll go for a drive around Pendle and The Forest of Bowland
This will also get the engine hot & turned over, and keep the battery charged
Morning you !. Yes, a Dalmatian is quite a big dog and maybe not the choice children. My grand daughter is going to get a new dog today, a Springer Spaniel, which is maybe a better choice.
Good morning from Foxy’s gaff…
Neighbour warned us that it might get noisy today…Workmen have arrived and the banging begins…
Son in Laws birthday today so we’ll whisk him off to Dobbies for some lunch…What would be a better present than some tasty nosh at a garden centre…
PS: A recent attack of gout prevents any kind of physical activity for a while…
Yes, exactly what me and my friend think, but still, that’s up to them. Wonder how long it will last, if the novelty wears off.
Bringing up Holly from a pup was a challenge, but I loved her on sight and thought of those years beyond her young age, and am so glad I persevered. She is an utter joy, loved by most people she meets. Some youngsters have said ‘oh my god, what a cute dog!’ on meeting her.
I think it will be more of a challenge to my neighbours with the small size of the house, and so many children. I may be proved wrong.
That could be but, in my opinion, dogs need to be trained. Max, my collie had a few lessons and that was enough. He was a big dog, larger than the the Dalmation, but a gentle fellow.
