Good Morning Saturday, 2nd May 2026

When I went out for my walk this morning the ground was wet, unfortunately that was about it - enough just to wet the ground.

Anyway good morning all on another 25° day, my walk as usual was pleasant enough, even took another aerial photo.

It always surprises me to see anything associated with telecommunications near power. Half a century ago when I worked in telecomms we avoided the power grid like the plague, different days.

Anyway of a more heavenly nature…

Back to work on mending my garden tap mounting this morning, painted the holes with red oxide paint then tomorrow will spray it with aluminium paint and the job is done.

Still haven’t mowed the lawn but that will come.

Have a lovely weekend.

Take care.

Good Morning Everyone… :069:
Had a new fence installed yesterday, but the bad news was, the bloke couldn’t dispose of the old fence because he’s got his company name on the side of his van.
So I started the job of dismantling all the panels (six of them) removing the nails, and taking them to the recycling site in the car with the back seats dropped down.
It’s going to require a few trips…
I haven’t worked so hard since Harold Wilson was prime minister…
:astonished:
Was knackered and could only manage to watch a couple of frames of snooker on the telly before my eyes started feeling heavy, so took myself off to bed early…
:sleeping_bed:
Rest day today, so it’s off for some lunch to a garden centre and family arriving later for tea.
We have got dishes and masts on one of our pylons as well Bruce, and like you, I wouldn’t have thought pylons would have been suitable, what with all the interference.
Perhaps the frequency is out of range of the high voltages, a bit like using mains sockets for carrying voice modulation for baby alarms…
Sorry to hear about your depression Sheila, going for a walk in the country or coast usually sorts me out…

Good morning all,
Spring has come and some places are buzzing with people such as supermarkets, petrol stations (due to discounted prices for two months), DIY- and garden centres.
Have you ever lost your glasses without having the faintest idea how and where it happened? I have and just spent the morning at an optician’s ordering new ones, which set me back 400 quid.
Now I must give myself a rest at home. Will see what the afternoon brings.

Spring

Seize the day.

Good to see you here Dachs…

I’ve lost my torch that I keep in the drawer for emergencies. I remember putting new batteries in it and using it for a job I was doing. But it’s not in it’s usual place and I’ve searched high and low with no luck…Not as expensive to replace as your specs though Dachs…

Couldn’t you advertise the wood for firewood? I just stuck a sign on my gate and all the wood was taken away within a day or so, would save you having to transport it. Just stack it out the front.

I’ve never lost glasses but I have been searching for some USB A to USB C adapters I bought, put in a safe place and haven’t been able to find since.

I also lost a multimeter but have found that after months of looking but now I can’t find the new leads I bought for it.
